This Aviation museum was amazing! Lots to see and enjoy here! Only $10 too! Well worth it too for the price!

OMG! My wife and I came here while on vacation and for something to do. We met Steve, a curator and possibly the director. He was marvelous. The Museum was fabulous. Just try it. Not spectacular, but would I bring my mom, brothers, and nieces? Yes, immediately. Try the flight simulator for $8, but it's entirely worth it.

My video game adverse wife said, "Let's get this at home. " That was enough said!

My three-year-old boy had the best time here! The museum is quiet and not busy—many things to see and experience, including going inside some airplanes and even a small movie theater. What I like about the museum is that it’s not too stimulating! There is enough space between each exhibit, easy free parking, and quick pay at the front desk. This museum is suitable for adults too, as there are many things to see and to read about. I educated myself on something I didn’t know. If you have an hour to kill while you are in Santa Monica, this is an excellent option for you and/ or your kids.

I was disappointed at the aircraft collection.
It was better and bigger when it was on Clover Ave.

I grew up had a wonderful tour that showed us the history of Santa Monica flight with Douglas aircraft building airplanes there and and then a number of the classic airplanes the DC's and then a marvelous movie at the end with many questions from many people in our group they were really answered well! A trip well worth it! Thank you for allowing us

Such a great spot to learn about more than just flying! Fun to watch the planes at the airport as well.

What a cool gem in SM! We learned lots of stories about Douglas and it’s history in Santa Monica. The exhibition is not too big, but a manageable size for a 2 to 3 hours time to see many cool displays/replicas. Im not so into aircrafts, but it was really enjoyable. Perfect spot for family as well as individuals!

This was a fun place! We chose this location because of the VR experience that was featured online, and the actual airplane cockpit that you can go into. Aaaaaand, both were not open that day (a Saturday). That was a let-down, but there were many other things that we busied ourselves with. There were old types and styles of airplane seats to sit in and to see the evolution of the design was a neat experience. I didn’t get his name, but I assume he is the owner was a very nice man. He took time out of his duties to talk to us about some questions we had, he taught us about ejection seats, and just overall provided a nice conversation.

Unfortunately, it turns out the reason the two features weren’t open that day is due to being short-staffed. The wall protruding cockpit has to be manned by its own employee as when left unmanned, visitors tend to damage things and people can get rowdy. It’s unfortunate this is the case for him, because he truly has a clear passion for this and his knowledge is immense; his heart is in this and so many people would gain from that.

A must go for airplane fans. The content displayed is relatively messy, presented through aircraft models/photos/badges/newspapers. Not in particular chronological order. I don’t know if I went at the wrong time. There was no explanation or tour guide, so I couldn’t understand it. The counter is not very friendly and there is a parking lot. Admission is $10, and it takes about 30-60 minutes to watch.

$8 each for two students, not busy at all, some really cool stuff including multiple proper cockpits! I do wish the 727 cockpit was open, as it's one of my favourites, but the museum is sadly understaffed. The staff that was present was quite kind.
