Museum of Ventura County’s Agriculture Museum reviews
9The museum is in the historic Santa Paula railroad station. The staff is just wonderful. The museum is actually very impressive with what they have on display. I learned things I didn't know about the Chumash boat building. As a side note, my friend did her Masters thesis on the history of the Chumash and they were and are wonderful people.
Super cute museum with a children's okay area in the back. Also has a lovely garden to stroll through or eat lunch in. Free admission for 2022!
A friendly small place. A reasonable collection of historical farm machinery. More impressive was the history of the area.
It's small but kids loved the play area. I remember when it was the Mill so it was interesting to be inside after all these years.
Visited with my daughter's 2nd grade class. Great experience for both students and adults. We were in four groups while participating in four different learning activities that taught about agricultural life. Bees were spotlighted as well with a visible active beehive that's built into the wall. Super Awesome! Tons of information and an amazing staff as well. Open to public Thurs thru Sunday I believe from about 11am to late afternoon. Admission is free. Gift shop on site with lots of cool stuff too.
°°°°FUN FACT JUST LEARNED ON TRIP°°°°
*Female bees are the ones that leave the hive to find nectar and pollen.
*Males are drones in the hive with no stingers
Great big & clean museum, has clean restrooms and a gift shop, friendly staff.fun for the family to pass time and learn about the history of santa paula, (Ventura County)
Very easy location to find, free parking, clean and well stocked facilities. We were lucky to get in with free admission, they'll take donations also. Small exhibit but informative, staff very friendly and helpful.
Kids absolutely love this place. They love playing with costumes, climbing on tractors, etc. I have fond memories of it many years ago, when it was an agricultural supply store. Wonderful staff. Excellent gift shop.
This is a great small-town museum! It is housed in an old Mill building and tells the history of agriculture in the area with lots of old photos and equipment. There was plenty for little ones to do in play areas too. I really enjoyed looking at the bees busily working in their hive. Well worth $5 if you enjoy rural topics.
