Musicians Choice Rehearsal Studio, Culver City CA

This "company" has several locations, but most of them are NOT kept up and look real sketchy, dingy, old, unprofessional and dirty.

As a female, you don't wanna be alone in the monthly lockout buildings in Carson, Inglewood and Culver City. Joe (the owner) is very bland. He has that "stereotypical" old rocker attitude. Just in it for the money. His attitude reflects his business with the "I don't care either way. "

The buildings really are NOT kept up. VERY old looking in a bad way.lol

. The interior of the buildings are DIRTY. The rooms have smudges, dirt patches and permanent hand prints!

The bathroom is a mess. Just use your own estroom "before" you come to rehearse

Also, they lie or "misslead" you on the rooms sizes. On the phone or text, they make the rooms bigger UNTIL you see it's not the size.

The parking lots are small and just downright atrocious! They are not leveled. Just even broken asphalt and the parking lots are small. You're gonna need to get your car re-aligned.

BE CAREFUL AT NIGHT.

I WOULD NOT recconmend WASTING your money on the 24/7 lockout.

In the cut location. The staff is very friendly. Pet friendly. I have use there studio as of yet but it's at the top 4 on my list. Parking is kind of unique. Two studios have mirrors to see yourself rehearse which is great. I like this place a lot so far.

There are 4 rehearsal rooms—2 smaller ones, a medium sized one, and one larger room with mirrors on the walls. The rooms are clean with great air conditioning. They Clorox wipe the mics after each use (we still bring our own mics). The staff is really chill and always have a spare cable or pick handy.
We rehearse here about once a week, usually Mondays, but make your reservation in advance as there are only 4 rooms—and they do book up.
The quality of the equipment varies from room to room—the last time we were there the bass amp was buzzing. But they usually fix any issues. We love this place and the staff.

Also, there’s a huge main room that I’ve seen used for events and parties—if you need a basic, plain room.

It was hard to find but it is the perfect place for a small to medium crowd. Parking was an issue tho.

Awesome rehearsal space! Friendly staff, easy booking, extremely clean, and the place smells and looks fantastic. We love jamming here!

Beautiful Space. Not ideal for recording due to a buzz but perfect for band rehearsals and possibly remote live shows for streaming. Joe (owner) very nice gentleman. Maggie (not sure of position) not very nice. Blocked me mid conversation, while trying to figure out a security deposit return. Very short, non communicative and sarcastic attitude. Very little professionalism shown if you need anything. Nice space if you just want to go in and keep your head down.

UPDATE **

After being promised the return of a security deposit owner Joe contacted my business partner cursed her out and stated he would not return the deposit unless I retracted my reviews. Clear intimidation and manipulation.

I was blocked by Maggie when professionally requesting communication regarding the return of a security deposit after they were unable to fix an issue in the room. She was very rude and told me I should read and I would know they had 30 days to return it. We are 2 days from the 30 days and have received no communication. Nor the deposit (very unprofessional)

It's good place for jamming. It's off grid so there's usually a cool place to hang and catch up with friends
