Napoleon Super Bakery reviews
8Hard to find parking. Reasonable prices. Egg custard tart and custard filled buns are favorites.
If you're looking for some freshly baked Chinese pastries, Napoleon Super Bakery is a great place to visit. The baos are delightfully fresh and very reasonably priced. I love the filled pineapple buns here - the fillings are not to sweet and generous and the cookie topping is crumbly and delicious. I will note that the egg tarts are good, but I personally like the ruby rival's down the street a little bit more - I think the crust is flakier there - but these are still solid egg tarts that I wouldn't turn down. Like most Chinese bakeries, the staff don't speak much English and can be gruff, but the pastries are WORTH IT. Be bold.go get those baos!
Stopped by for a snack because I was in the area and this place did not disappoint.
Cash only. You do have to pay if you want a box, but generally the pastries are good in the bag (it’s just not super eco-friendly).
The egg tarts are the best. The currently price, as July 7th, is $1.75. Was $1.50. Cash only place.
A great place to get baked Chinese goods. The ham and corn bun are tasty! The scallion buns are savory and always hit the spot. I will always visit this place when I’m in town or passing through! A definite recommendation!
Their portuguese egg tart (葡撻) is very similar to regular egg tart (蛋撻). It lacks the caramelized top which is a must for portuguese egg tart. Costs $2.25 each.
Love the pastries and tasty goodies this bakery has to offer. Will definitely come here the next time I’m in San Francisco.
If you ever walk past this place when it opens at 7am and don't stop in for a fresh egg tart and at least 3 BBQ pork buns, you've made a terrible mistake.
I can't really add anything else to that, they're great and I may have accidentally ordered "hot dog buns" from there. Then purposefully did so later, because they're delicious too.
