NASNI Dining Facility reviews
7It was, in fact, a Navy Galley. The food was significantly above average for a galley, the place was incredibly clean, the staff was very nice, and it wasn't busy at all. You could definitely do worse on base for food!
The area is nice, the food was ok chicken was dry, had it on a dinner show. Sunday brunch is better
Ford was really good! I had steak, lobster, corn, baked potatoe, fried rice, and salad for $6.you can't get a meal of that size for the price in California. After I went, I thought about McDonald's on base and I would've spent over $10 for a "value meal. "
Way better than boat food any day, but still cafeteria food for sure. Super friendly people though.
The food is always good and the server’s are nice. But today I went there and was told that do to being on a ship stationed there I had to pay for my food. My ship just pulled back in after 18 months and before we left it was never an issue. I’ve only ever had to pay for food at a base galley if my ship wasn’t serving food. It honestly sucks knowing that I have to walk back to my ship when I want food for dinner and on the weekends.
It's galley. The chili is fire. The rest of the food is passable at best. Raw and cold, but somehow burnt at worst. Don't get your hopes up, but also if it comes out of your paycheck, don't go waste your money elsewhere.
Lunch and dinner is usually disgusting. Rice is crunchy and very chewy. Veggies taste like dish soap water. I’ve come across many dirty dishes with smears of someone else’s leftovers. Breakfast is the only alright meal they serve.
