Deli Nate'n Al reviews
33Amazing! Like being at a New York Kosher deli, but friendly with perfect weather. If I lived near here, I would have a problem.
A Beverly Hills institution. I’m glad to see that they aren’t closed post-covid so one could still enjoy some tasty pastrami. You can order ahead online or via phone. You can specify a pick up time online, but if you try to specify a time over the phone, it doesn’t work. Our sandwiches seemed to have been sitting for a while, but the pastrami was still delicious (albeit the bread was a tad soggy). Credit cards are accepted. Street parking.
The New Yorker with the coleslaw and Russian dressing is my go-to. The thick cut pastrami is so deliciously fatty and the creaminess of the dressing complements it well. If you like mustard, it adds some needed acidity as you progress into the sandwich. You get an option of a side, and I typically go for the macaroni salad. On my most recent pick up, the sides were missing but at least the pickles were there. You can pick the type of bread, but the standard is double baked rye. You’ll probably enter a food coma if you eat both sandwiches, but it’s well worth it.
The food was alright. Big portions. I got the Tuna Melt with steak cut fries. My friend got the pastrami with macaroni salad. He loved it. Says it's one of the best pastrami sandwiches he's had. Also got a black and white cookie which he liked. Indoor dining was not available so we sat outside where there was no shady option to keep us from direct sunlight. The cashier was friendly and checked on is once. The guy that brought out our food looked upset though. Not a place I would go out of my way to return to.
Had the New York Pastrami and Hollywood Corned Beef sandwiches both on rye. Both were wonderful.
I was looking for a place to have a quick snack at and so glad that I came across Nate n Al's. Their food is simple and yet delicious and fresh. The service standards vary depending on who your server is, there is a delightful lady who makes your day with her cheerfulness and then a few guys who seem to just be doing their job and trying to somehow get through their work day.
Prices are a little high, but it is Beverly Hills. The food & menu choices are more varied & higher quality at The Nosh, but Nate n Als is open later!
Phenomenal! Super small and crowded, but definitely worth it.we all got chicken sandwiches, some spicy and some regular, and loved them.the loaded curly fries were also awesome.they were smaller than we expected, so we ended up ordering one more order for our group of 4.good quality, great flavor, all around a really good experience.
Excellent Hot Pastrami, Rye toast, Matza Ball Soup, condiments for my Hannukah dinner. Take away only
Good deli style sandwiches. Very good mustard. Had an amazing brisket sandwich on rye bread with a cherry soda. The barb b que sauce was tantalizing scintillating on the palette.
During the covid, they don’t serve fresh food. The cold slaw was very old & didn’t taste good. Very disappointed
I’ve never eaten Jewish food before. My understanding of it as a concept is limited to passing references in Big Bang theory and Seinfeld. I was pleasantly surprised when i experiences the delights of this deli. The whole establishment seemed filled with grumpy old people (always a positive sign) and someone actually yelled in Yiddish while I was there (always positive for authenticity).
Always a great time. I had a tuna and provolone melt on rye, which was delicious! The other people who I was with ordered a lox, egg and onion scramble which was so tasty. But potato’s that came with were lifeless and no flavor. Another got eggs Benedict who said “it was okay”. Didn’t like the sauce (too bland).
One person got a picture of their meal.
U usually go there every Monday in the last 3 months. I recommend their smoked white fish and egg scrambled with hashbrowns
Deli since 1945 wow I've been going there for over 35years. Great deli food and service most servers have been there for years. Never know how your going to see there.
Awful service behind th counter. Complete incompetent people. Should not be working there or anywhere with such incompetence. Asked for a hit dog, had to wait 20 minutes for it. Asked for mustard, did not put it, AND gave the wrong sausage. NOT a hotdogs. 1 star is way too much. Deserves 0 stars and a minus rating. Total incompetent and lazy. Never going back.
Overcrowded and overhyped. Outdoors, they even let dogs sit at the tables, and eat of their owner’s plates. Gross.
Both me and my wife agree, if you love pastrami or cornbeef, Nate'n Al is 5 stars. The pastrami is New York style I guess, thick and moist. We both love The Hat, but there is no comparison in the quality of the meat. Keep your eyes open for celebrities too, you just might see one there.
Pastrami melts in your mouth. Great service. My daughter had the pancakes and they tasted great too!
$18.50 for a dry turkey sandwich on 2 slices of crumbling wheat bread? Never again! Save ur money and go to Subway two blocks away. Large portions.almost as much as Subway.
It’s a must in Beverly Hills, hands down the best breakfast in town. I make a point of eating here every trip.
