This review pertains to the Walnut Creek location. In November 2022, their website states that they allow visitors 7 days per week, 11: 30-1: 00pm and 6: 30-8: 00pm. Upon arriving, though, I learned that patients can have visitors only once per week "due to Covid. " I left. I decided to try again, hoping that I could settle in to the Draconian visiting hours.

In a group, I said that I thought their visiting hours were stupid and I wanted to talk to the CEO, who was supposed to be available the next day. Big mistake. Management said that I can't say that in group. They reiterated that the restriction was "due to Covid. " Meanwhile, Stacia, an intake coordinator there, who was explaining this to me, was sick and unvaccinated. She stated that she "Wasn't feeling good and had congestion from her son. " She mentioned not being vaccinated and stated she was tested weekly. I asked if she had tested that day. She had not.

They made me sit under a gazebo to shelter from the rain while it was 52° outside for 15 minutes while they did my rapid Covid test. I was freezing. I am quadruple vaccinated and they required a test done by Kaiser 72 hours prior to coming.

Meanwhile, they have an unvaccinated manager/intake person saying they don't feel well and are congested AND unvaccinated. Hypocrites! Do not go to this hypocritical, useless facility.

My daughter was in here with an eating disorder. So what do they do? Weigh her every day, which is a huge trigger! Please do your homework, staff. Doctor NEVER contacts patient's family. This is unheard of in psychiatric institutes. I am waiting to speak to Discharge Nurse.don't think this person is even a nurse. $3000 admittance fee. Find another place! Hope thigs improve soon. My daughter will probably be there only5 days, 2 being the weekend when nothing happens. Also, no art or music therapy at all!

National treats their clients with care. They are humane and professional. The socialization is an incredibly useful component especially during Covid as is the access to excercise equiptment. This is a learning environment for nursing students. Emily the intake coordinator and Staysha were very helpful and Miriam was amazing!

This business is located next to houses and a school. They continually have employees including the manager using permit only resident parking despite having their own parking. We have tried reaching out to the staff to ask them to stop doing this. As well there is a constant stream of toxic cigarette smoke flowing all day long from the many rehab patients they have in their huge center. Some times they have patients who are screaming, attempt to kill themselves. We see ambulances about once a month. They should not be in a neighborhood with kids, and only an alley away from an elementary school. They should never have been permitted to operate there

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!
First, a SERIOUS safety issue! Staff are supposed to check on patients every hour. At National it as closer to every 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

This place is a complete joke! There was not one positive experience while I was there nor after I left.

The seldom held scheduled groups were mostly useless if not completely nonexistent. On the weekends it was even worse.

The staff does nothing but pacify it’s clients without ANY thought of follow up or following through. This was experienced time and time again.

Social distancing is a also joke. They say they try to keep residents 6 ft apart but then bring everybody into the same room at the same time at least once every day. Also, Although there are a lot of cameras, nobody ever watches them. Saw young adults holding hands over and over.

If that wasn’t bad enough. A week after I left I found out that they were holding a Rx that wasn’t given to me upon my discharge! They made absolutely no attempt to fix the problem and try to get me the Rx.
