Nenas Mexican Cuisine reviews
19This particular day lunch was a little slow so service was excellent. The staff was very friendly and offered a lot of suggestions. But looking at the menu it was difficult to choose what I wanted because there was so much variety. I luv the variety.thnx.
We've been coming to this place for a long time. We always order the same items on the menu. Super Combination with burrito and chimichanga with carnitas and or chicken or beef with always buying 5 extra flour tortillas.
We went to this place this morning. It was quite busy. Only 2 ppl working the floor. This place must've a new kitchen cook, it seems like the burrito ONLY had meat-NO beans, NO rice, NO cheese, except for the usual beans/rice that comes with the combo. Again, this is not the first time we've been at this place, so we know what should be inside the burrito and chimichanga. I asked the waiter and he said that's the way it's made? I am so disappointed. There's always a different service with different server, last time we went, we were served by the Stockton store co-owner.
First time going to Nena's. I ordered the camarones sarandiados & that were DELICIOUS. They are also famous for their hand made tortillas de harina which were amazingly delicious as well!
The food is horrible we ordered a chicken soup it was old the vegetables looked like they had been heated many times
Great food great service. Only comment for improvement was skimpy on the ice I needed more ice in the water and drinks
Authentic Mexican food it's good place to take the family or friends. Great people. Good size plates. Definitely worth the stop
Place is run down. Can use some improvement on the building. Food was great and great customer service
I would not go again, they have charged me more than my account, check your bank to verify they do not charge you more!
Service was horrible.
Homemade tortillas are spot on.
There was only 2 in our party.
Our waitress was rude and walked by empty glasses four times and then I had to Ask her for more beverage in food service hospitality. Your beverage should never hit bottom.
100 stars for Javi he’s amazing and kind and personable and playful and even tho I’m form reno he makes me want to stop at nenas every time I’m in town. Give this man a raise. #tiovibes
The last couple of times that we have been here, they are understaffed. I ordered an appetizer, and it arrived 10 mins after I had already finished my dinner. It was only queso fundido, which was delicious! The birthday girl didn't receive her soup until after EVERYONE had already FINISHED their dinner. It takes forever to get any service! The waitresses forget to bring out what we order because they don't write it down. They only write down the food order, which is fine IF you have a good memory. When you order anything else, they constantly forget. You have to ask a few times to receive it. This happened the last two times that we were there.
The homemade flour tortillas are very yummy! That's the best thing there! The bathroom ALWAYS has a foul odor like a sewer smell. It's been like that for years!
*** PLEASE FIX THAT HORRIBLE SMELL! ***
The best Mexican food I have ever had. It's better than anything in So Cal or Mexico. Thank you
If your looking for hot New Mexican, Mexuxan Food style food it's not your place. Otherwise it's OK.
I ordered simple rice and beans that no one can mess up but after I picked up my food I smelled something bad but I did not know where it was coming from right when I opened my rice it smelled really really bad I almost throw up. Now the beans smelled ok but the rice smelled like when you leave food in the fridge for months and then tries to open the fridge and try to smell the food. I couldn’t even give that food to anyone because I did not knew if it’s even safe to eat that. I would not recommend but I would recommend this restaurant to people who enjoy getting sick then 100% you should go to this restaurant
Arrived to restaurant at 8: 18 as it said they closed at 9: 00 and they refused to serve us
Worst service I’ve ever experience! Server dropped off my food and never saw him again! He made an excuse that he had to help other tables, when there were only 2 other tables in there! Sat there for 1 1/2 hours before I had to ask for my check!
Stopped here on an Amtrak layover. Within walking distance if the train station. Very pleased with our experience! The working margarita is great, and the cactus ribs are excellent. The papa e huevo burrito was also a hit!
This place has great Mexican food.
It's authentic and the staff are very polite and efficient.
The chile rellenos are awesome and the combination fajita plate is fantastic.
Horrible service I sat there for 15 minutes while they ignored me and took care of everyone else there was only two other tables in the restaurant. I guess it’s because I’m white.
