Nevada City Chocolate Shoppe

Delicious ice cream, the guy who help us was very nice and patient with all our kids. We really had a good time in this small ice cream shop.

There's always something good at the chocolate shop! And often things you can't get other places

Terrible experience. I know this is isn't a common experience but the store was nearly out of stock and the service was uninformative. Plus the chocolate bar I purchased tasted old. Very disappointing.

Reminds me of rocket fizz. But PLEASE! Lower the prices. Other wise amazing little shop! If you have a high budget, go here!

Super cute little shop somewhat reminiscent of a Rocket Fizz with a small selection of novelties along the walls, but obviously not cluttered like a Rocket Fizz. The place is pretty much spotlessly clean. They sell ice cream in addition to chocolate/candy. The lady working there couldn't have been nicer. I asked her about the sugar-free chocolates and she allowed me to taste one side-by-side with a "normal" version of the same flavour. (For the record, I found that they were comparable, but the sugar-free one was a bit less rich and had a smoother texture, almost like the texture of bubble gum.) We each bought a treat and snacked on a bench across the street. Very good chocolate.

Be sure you taste your candy before you leave. I decided to surprise my husband with his favorite candy, only to find out when I got home they were vanilla, when I ordered orange creams. What a waste of money. I spent over $23 in this place and I dont live close by.

This place is high in price but well worth it. It’s very hard to find chocolate covered walnuts and rocky road made with walnuts (usually it’s almonds), but this place has it! I plan to make another trip very soon.

Amazing chocolate and sweet shop with a massive selection of fancy chocolates for all tastes. I highly recommend the raspberry balsamic, as well as the rosemary and citron, and getting a shiny penny pressed in the machine!

I Love this "family tradition" stop whenever in Nevada City. Some shops in Nevada City are seasonal for shopping. Not The Chocolate Shop! Doesn't Matter what time of year it is! They have treats for all seasons. To cool you off or warm you up. They will even go above and beyond with customer service. Wrapping up our candied Carmel Apples for the hour long drive home. Definitely Worth the Walk In. If anything to search out the Candy you Thought was no longer made!? Enjoy!

Great ice cream, great service, friendly, family owned, a great shop, I would highly recommend going here

We had so much fun picking out treats and getting ice cream. Lots of selection of both homemade confections and packaged treats with a good selection of lollipops in particular. If we are in the city, we will be back!

This shop has superb quality candy and it is worth the premium. The peanut brittle is really among the best I've had. I believe almost all of it is home made and they put a lot of work into their stuff. However, I have one complaint unrelated to the candy: this store has a real tendency to be closed until the afternoon.

Very expensive. Alot of selections were basically the same thing. Too expensive to buy very much.
