New Concept Academy

Both of my two boys are in New Concept Academy, one in Kindergarten and another in fourth grade. We are very satisfied with the education and experience they got from NCA. The teachers there are very responsible and enthusiastic about Chinese education and beyond. We highly recommend NCA for family with a desire of high quality after school and Chinese education.

New concept academy has been providing professional and quality after-school and enrichment tutoring in various subjects. Except for creative art, coding, robotics and other offering, I am especially impressed by the curriculum in Chinese and Math: they have chosen the proper textbooks and teachers are well trained to not only teach but also follow up student's progress in weekly basis. I don't want to be blind about what is going on with my kids, and in last school year I have received some teacher notes about what my kids needed to improve and focused in relevant subjects, and I much appreciate and value such feedback and interaction between school and patents. The school has friendly staff and always easy to approach. The school bus is an extra bonus for parent's convenience.

Extremely crowed environment with almost no public space for kids to socialized or play. The class rooms are arranged full with desks, some teacher claimed directly traveled from China (can you work on travel visa?). The school is proud of its China teaching which focus on aggressive academics agenda and exam performance. They even use the same book used in China, although with the promise not to teach communist propaganda and hatred fulfilled nationalism. Picking up kid after school is very crowded and challenging, disability parking almost always parked at rush hour with no honor of code.

Update: the school also started doing fake review campaign. A very notorious thong where the teacher themselves and their stuff would manufacturer or solicit good reviews. Take a look at the timing of all the other five star reviews. Almost all posted around the same time recently, which is very abnormal given the school has been around many years.

We have been with New Concept Academy for more than three years, and my kid loves it! They offer both weekdays and weekend after-school learning sessions and you can choose programs that work best for your family's schedule. My kid normally spends three hours there, learning Mandarin, English writing, and Math.

Teachers are super patient and approachable. We get frequent feedback from them about my kid's progress. Every weekend we also receive a summary of this week's learning materials along with some homework. You can see they really put lots of efforts into their daily teaching practice.

This after-school also organizes group events for kids to celebrate during Spring Festival, Halloween, Thanksgiving, etc. My kid especially enjoys all the hands-on crafting part, like designing and painting a rabbit-calendar, assembling a paper lantern, or making their own Halloween custom.

As parents, we have spent quite some time comparing different options for after-schools, and we are grateful for the service and the learning environment NCA has provided. We will continue our journey with them.

My daughter has been attending for the past 3 years and has made significant progress in her Chinese language skills. The teachers are experienced and qualified, and they use a variety of engaging methods to teach the students. My daughter loves going to the this After School program, and she always looks forward to her classes. She is middle schooler now, and switch from after school to weekend class.
Here are some of the things that I like about the New concept Academy:
1. The teacher are experienced and qualified. They have a passion for teaching.
2. Small class size - round 10 student per class.
3. They offers a variety of levels and classes to meet the need s of students.

I would like to share my impressions and review of the after-school classes at the New Concept Chinese School.

Firstly, the teachers here are very patient and enthusiastic, always able to stimulate students' interest in learning. They are able to help students fully understand and master Chinese knowledge, and the teaching process is very rich and diverse. Furthermore, the teaching materials here are plentiful, including Chinese textbooks from People's Education Press, self-made exercise books, Shanghai Math and exercise books, as well as various reading materials, games and activities. This helps students learn Chinese while also gaining an understanding of Chinese culture and traditions. Last year, my daughter even participated in a Chinese recitation competition and won a second prize, and the teacher provided a lot of help and feedback to the students on their recitation videos.

Moreover, the other courses here are also very rich, with an enrichment program including courses such as drawing, writing, programming, and robotics, allowing children to choose according to their interests.

In summary, I am very satisfied with the after-school classes at the New Concept Chinese School, and I am very grateful for the teachers' hard work. I believe that my daughter will continue to gain more knowledge and joy here.

For the past three years, my son has been attending New Concept Academy, and I have been extremely impressed with the high quality of education that the school provides. With smaller class sizes, the teachers are able to spend more one-on-one time with each student, which has been incredibly helpful for my son.

Initially, my son struggled with math and was at the bottom of the class. However, the teacher was very patient and supportive, providing easier worksheets and spending extra time to help him understand the concepts. With this help, my son was able to catch up with his peers and even began to enjoy math. At the end of the year, he told me that he loved math and was excited to learn more.

I am amazed at how much my son has changed since attending New Concept Academy. He now loves learning and is even enjoying his Chinese class. I am so pleased with the progress he has made and am confident that my second child will also receive an excellent education at this school.

My daughter has been studying at the New Concept Academy after school for three years now. Her Chinese listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities have improved greatly thanks to the lively and humorous teaching style of her teacher.
The school organize rich activities and crafts, which help the children better understand the Chinese cultural heritage. They also provides a large selection of Chinese books that My daughter enjoys reading in her spare time.the teacher diligently reminds the children to complete their homework on time and sends weekly progress summaries to parents.
