Had a great shrimp sechawan lunchen that couldn't have been better. Sweet & sour soup was good too. Nice people, try it.

Great place and a long time favorite in San Clemente. Old Town is a terrific setting for some tasty Chinese food. Enjoy! Try the sizzling rice soup. It's amazing!

1st timer. They give you alot of food for the price and they have a good variety to choose from. Food was excellent.

Food meh… try a different Chinese restaurant. Old owner had much better food. They are cutting corners for food costs. Please just raise your prices and make better quality food.

We lost our local Chinese restaurant and were mourning no replacement until we found New Mandarin Garden. We had the spicy three delight and snowpeas and water chestnuts and it was fabulous. We will be regulars.

We had dinner here tonight after kids requested Panda Express. Lol. We told them we have much better option and boy they're glad we came here. The sweet and sour chicken is really good. I love the Beef with string beans. They're both flavorful. The guy server is nice and our food came in quick. I wish the parking situation is better but the food makes up for it.

Newly remodeled. Best Chinese food in town. Everything is hot, made to your needs and the servers are attentive. Pot sticks are big and full of tasty meat.

This stuff is garbage. Tastes like dog food. The beef tasted spoiled. It was ready in 5 mins probably because it isn’t made to order. Rude front of house. WAY OVER PRICED even being in Orange County during a War. Can’t believe I spent 50$ on 2 reheated entrees and some wontons. Never going back. BLEH

The bbq ribs were so tough I couldn’t bite through the meat.
The steam dumplings had no taste and were soggy.
Sweet and sour pork was chewy, soggy and tasteless.
Overall this is the worst meal I have had.

Best Chinese food in San Clemente. Large portions, priced good. Never had anything off the menu that wasn’t delicious. Been going here for close to 20 years and it’s one of my favorite restaurants in town. Best chow mein anywhere. Food does well being delivered or picked up, it doesn’t get soggy.

Do Not Go here. What happened? This used to be a great place to eat. Horrible experience, got the order wrong and the food was inedible with weird old pieces of tofu that taste like cardboard.

1 star is a gosh darn understatement. I wish I could give 0. Overpriced and terrible staff. I never got my food after a decent amount of time. Never coming back to this dump again. 0/10 do not recommend. Thumbs down.

The staff not to friendly they don't seem like they enjoy serving others. I realize they may be finically devastated by the previous quarantine. I have been there previously 2013 the staff was attentive and the food was good. The wife and i this last visit ordered dishes that had pork. There was no red color usually you see in the pork. It was gray in color, not much favor The texture was strange. We think they must be freezing it and thawing it, and cooking it, just my opinion. The other dish sweet and sour chicken had no flavor and no broccoli just some onion and some carrot shaving, the onions where not cooked enough and the chicken was mushy! Its sopose to be crispy on the coating on the chicken, not mushy. Also had Egg foo young asked to have a combo shrimp and pork did not enjoy no bean sprouts I saw 1 shrimp and, yes GRAY pork cubes there was more egg than anything I will have to keep looking for a decent Egg Foo Young. This one was gross! It is what it is people!

Confusingly aggressive staff? The service at the restaurant is truly deplorable. The people are rude, unnecessarily entitled, condescending and flat out unpleasant. When you try and order by phone they have a tendency to scream or even hang up on you when you ask fo something as simple as extra broccoli. No matter how kind and sincere you are they act like you just asked them to make the sky green and the grass blue and have it ready for pick up in 10 minutes. HOWEVER, having said that, the one undeniable thing this restaurant has to “bring to the plate” (pun intended ;) is that their food is a actually quite delicious. Perfect for a greasy Chinese food take out and watch a moving at home! Do not recommend dining in however is dirty and unpleasant to be around such a staff and they do not make it easy to have a comfortable and leisurely dining experience but the younger staff who do not act like your every order is a great inconvenience are actually quite lovely and a breath of fresh air! Watch out for their return on your bill though! That have a frequent tendency to not give you back the correct change and hope you don’t notice.

I went to pick up some food and i gave the “ manager” 60$ the total was 45$ and she only gave me 10 CENTS she denied that i gave her more. She was very rude and was yelling. I would not recommend going to this place ever again!
