New Method Wellness saved my life. The staff there is incredible and taught me so much about myself. They helped make the journey of sobriety as painless as possible. With almost 9 months sober today, I couldn’t have done it without them! 10/10 would recommend!

Thank you to the staff of New Method Wellness for helping our daughter. The professionalism, facilities, communications, and results are all world-class. Our daughter thought that she could be in and out in 30 days, and just “check the boxes. ” Instead, she was inspired to do 60 days of in-patient and 30 days Intensive Out-Patient treatment, and she set herself the goal of completing the 12 steps. Her counselors and therapists focused not just on the steps but included therapy and behavior analysis to help her understand the root cause of her addictions and gave her the tools to understand how to manage her life going forward. It’s a journey of a lifetime now, but it will only work if the client/patient really wants it to. New Method Wellness helped our daughter find that desire within herself.

REVIEW
My 23 year old daughter attended New Method Wellness in January of 2023 for substance use disorder and mental health treatment.

When we began the search for a treatment center we knew we wanted a place that was foremost safe and also holistic to address mind and body. From the moment I reached out to NMW, Juanita and the staff were fully dedicated to helping us battle insurance to get her admitted.

Upon arrival, we were given a tour of the main facility and met many of the welcoming staff. The center itself was beautiful, sparkling clean and had an upbeat vibe overall. My daughter confirmed that the detox house and the women's house were also as described on the website, and were very large and quite luxurious.

My daughter absolutely loved the therapists who taught the many classes throughout the day. She highly valued the DBT teacher and her psychiatrist, the acupuncturist and nutritionist who helped teach her about her health, and of course her main therapist, Alexa, who supported her throughout her journey. Alexa was outstanding in her communication with me as well, which was so much appreciated.

The days were filled with variety, which really worked for my daughter. Therapy classes, equine and wolf therapy, massage and acupuncture, excursions and nightly supplemental groups. My daughter thought it was awesome that clients got to go grocery shopping and get out into the community for various activities. There was freedom within structure.

I want to take a moment to specifically praise the housing staff members who also drove and attended meetings with the clients. These people truly made the stay great. They were patient, uplifting, filled with good humor and real. I can't tell you how valuable their interactions were for my daughter. She misses the housing staff very much now that she is home.

Finally, the most constructive concept which my daughter took from her stay at New Method, was that people can and do recover, and go on to live productive and fulfilling lives. Many staff members at NMW are in recovery. They have come through their own personal challenges, and have gone on to help others do the same. The speakers at the evening meetings set a similar example, and sent the message not to focus on one's past, but to forge ahead to new beginnings. NMW also coached us as a family to participate in Al-Anon which has helped us heal and learn how to navigate in uncharted waters.

Although my daughter's stay was cut short due to medical reasons, she learned so very much in the short time she had. She has maintained sobriety, is much more emotionally regulated, has retained sponsorship and is continuing to work the program set forth for her. I would not hesitate to recommend this program to others.
