New York Chicken & Gyro reviews
15These guys go above and beyond every time. They are super nice and super fast. They want you to get the best service, and the best food every time you come. They always exceed expectation's. Truly a one of a kind spot located in the heart of the valley. Always amazing.
This place is a gem for Mediterranean food. I've had their gyros and personal platters without disappointment. They give good portions and the food is so tasty. My go-to 'don't feel like cooking tonight' place.
Clearly, this place doesn't follow instructions from customers, as you can read from previous reviews as well. Big turn off when they try to blame you instead of the person answering the phones. Quality has gone down as well. Shame!
First: the lamb is not sliced and is not traditional. It’s crumbly and greasy. There is barely any tzatziki sauce hardly any lettuce and a sprinkle of tomatoes. Second: I GOT FOOD POISONING from this place. About 3 hours after eating the gyro I was vomiting and other fun liquids for 9 hours straight.
Nyc meets the best coast. The gyro at this place are huge. Best of luck finding parking though. There is a great example of an awesome small business was very flavorful and thought it was a great value. It also seems like they do a large bit of business for takeout was very straightforward. We will definitely be going back.
Except for their mix platter and other platters which are very good, do not order any thing else. Their breaded wings are so high on salt that you will fail your kidneys after the meal. Also, the burgers and fries are ‚mehh‘ just okay and priced high for the same type at McDonalds, nothing special.
I did mention that wings were so high on salt, the owner said that’s because we buy them breaded and we can’t control salt, that’s like saying, we will sell u unhealthy product no matter what happens to you.
Really good food well worth the price. Customer service was great they are very attentive, and food is fresh.
It’s hard to give a bad review to this place…. I am having their food from 2017 …. Used to be an amazing place for fresh food and value for money … but after Covid they renovated the place and made a huge profit and opened another store … but now the food sucks and overpriced as well.
Great food. Fast. Best gyros in the valley. And the platters could feed three people. Owners and workers are prime. Greetings walking in. I've been there hundreds of times. They greet as if it was my first. Definitely must try. Parking is the only issue. Park at walgreens.
My favorite place to visit for fish, chicken, or a lamb platter. Service is super fast, and food tastes delicious. Parking is tight at the place, but I have always found a place to park for a quick takeout.

Get the chicken gyro and you'll be astral-projected into a 5th dimensional realm of top tier new york style soul food and you wont regret the intense culmination of flavors your mouth has the privilege to experience. 10/10.
I recently dined at New York Chicken and Gyro in the valley area, and I must say that my experience was moderate. Here are my observations:
1. Food Quality: The food was decent, but it didn't leave a lasting impression on me. I tried their gyro plate, which came with rice. This was a bit different from what I'm used to because, in many other places, gyro doesn't typically come with rice. While it was a unique twist, it didn't necessarily make me crave a return visit.
2. Friendly Staff: One of the highlights of my visit was the staff's friendliness. They made an effort to ensure a pleasant dining experience and tried their best to create positive memories for their customers.
In summary, New York Chicken and Gyro offers okay food with a slightly different take on gyro, and the staff's friendly approach adds a positive touch to the overall experience. While it may not be my top choice for a return visit, it's worth trying if you're in the area and looking for a quick bite to eat.
The mixed lamb and chicken platter is insanely good. It always comes out quickly and fresh. Love that this place stays open late, and the prices are fair.
I had the pleasure of trying both the New York Chicken & Gyro for Lamb over Rice and the Cheeseburger with Fries, and I must say, they are both outstanding choices!
The New York Chicken & Gyro for Lamb over Rice was a flavor explosion. The tender lamb and well-seasoned chicken were cooked to perfection, and the combination of the two with the fragrant rice was simply heavenly. The portion was generous, ensuring a satisfying meal.
On the other hand, the Cheeseburger with Fries was a delightful classic. The burger was juicy, and the cheese added a creamy richness that elevated the taste. The fries were crispy and served hot, making for the perfect side.
Whether you're in the mood for a delicious Mediterranean-inspired meal or a classic American burger, this place has you covered. I highly recommend trying both – you won't be disappointed!
