The Drifting Sands Cafe is by far THE best place for breakfast or lunch in Newberry Springs. The volunteer wait/dishwashing staff work only for tips but create an environment of family to the patrons. Wanna know what's going on in the area, definitely stop in to the real community hub for breakfast the locals are friendly knowledge and always ready to converse!

Always great service here and the food has never been anything short of exceptional. If you have doubts.don't. Foods great, service is top notch, and the prices are more than affordable.

This must be a locals only kind of place since nobody even said hello or even acknowledged my existence despite being inside and walking around for a good 10 minutes.
Thank you for saving me money will never return again!

They have a Cafe. Like taking my grandparents there for breakfast. They also have a thrift shop and I believe the Borrego Health Clinic on wheels stops there

They have a little cafeteria that serves meals to anyone who comes in. With money. Its not free.
You don't need to be a senior either. Decent to good food, a little more seasonings would be nice but it being a senior facility bland diet is probably the no for many there. So I'm not faulting the kitchen staff. I enjoy what I eat there each time I go.
