My date place with my wife everytime. This time it was too windy and very low tide so we didn't even get to go down. If you go there you will meet cool people guaranteed

Awesome free launch. Restrooms on site. Tons of parking. Easy access to the back Bay in the marinas. It has not been crowded a few times that I've been there. Parked right at the Sand

Took the kids kayaking around Back Bay. Location was good, price was good, staff were friendly, would go again.

Laid back drive up beach. Easy access to the Back Bay ecological preserve waters, small islands, and Newport Harbor for kayaks and SUPs. Calm, waveless shoreline provides a safe play area for small kids.

Nice place.
A word of advice: Kayaking requires two people that need strength, coordination and cooperation ability. Not the activity for computer-game couch-potatoes. The water has a stiff wind and current. There are big boats around too. Govern yourself accordingly.

We came a few times already and I love how easy it is. Parking isn't an issue as there is a nice large dirt lot.

You go inside the building and on your hard right you will see an office.

Fill out some forms and give them your id and you're good to go.

I always bring my golden and Pomeranian and they love it. I think.

Get yourself a life jacket and the kayaks and paddle boards are usually close to shore.

Just watch out for the dragon racers.

Sunscreen up and enjoy yourself.

Great kayak spot. I spend summer time there every year. Best season for kayak is between April and October. Water is about 10 degrees cooler.safe and nice view.

Paddleboard and kayak rentals. They can show you how to use the equipment and there is a nice area without much wave action for you to paddle along to figure it all out. There is a nearby marina and cliffs, so you have a variety of views. The equipment seems to be in good condition and the staff is friendly. The sloping beach entry to the water is gentle and there are hoses for rinsing off when you're done.

Came here with a friend for a class trip and it was so fun kayaking out in the bay! Parking is free, too, and the tour is really interesting learning about the importance of wetlands and estuaries for our environment! Definitely going to come back for a private ride with my friends.

If I say too much it will soon not be, the best kept secret spot to get out and relax on your kayak. Oops, I've already said too much.who wants to get out in the water

Nice weather, plenty of parking. We brought our kayaks but they also have rentals. Bay is very close or you can stay in the nature preserve area. It can get a little fishy smell in some spots. Otherwise easy place to kayak.

This is a great facility that offers rentals and memberships. While I love coming here for the gym, and tons of rowing machines. They actually have real equipment that can be used. The locker rooms have been revamped and it looks quite nice.

Recently became a member and have had great experiences so far. The facilities are clean. The paddleboards are good quality, not the super cheap ones I've rented elsewhere. The staff have all been very helpful.

Nice place to rent kayak or paddleboards for a few hrs. Great area to enjoy both activities however this is not a beach area to hang out for swimming. Its basically for entering and exiting with plenty of parking. No showers just a clean bathroom for basic use. Staff is friendly and helpful and a bench area to snack incase someone needs a little fuel.

Kayaking here is amazing! Staff is friendly and helpful, equipment is well maintained, price for 1 hour is decent. Most importantly, the views! Been here a few times and is my preferred spot. Mainly because if you stay in the back area, you don't have to worry about boats or huge vessels. Don't forget your sunscreen and gloves.
