Newport Beach Women's Wellness Center: M. Mercedes Sayago, MD

I had an appointment with Dr. Sayago the 1st week of December 2020, when I showed up for my appointment the office was closed but shortly after Dr. Sayago arrived. There was no staff present and moving boxes were everywhere. I suffer from a very aggressive form of endometriosis and she gave me hope and a solid plan which included surgery that I desperately need. I was instructed to slide my medical records under the door of her office and told I could reach her easily by email, basically none of my emails or phone calls have EVER been answered.
In March her voicemail said her office would be open at a new location on March 26th, it is not and I went to the location listed and it doesn’t exist? I live in severe pain and didn’t need my emotions toyed with, it’s borderline cruel.

Terrible business practices! After my first visit with her a follow up visit was scheduled the following month. When I showed up, the office was closed, and although I waited for over an hour, no one came to open up. Later in the day I spoke with someone at that office, not directly associated with Dr. Sagayo, and the person told me that she probably was "delayed". No staff!
Now I want my medical records to bring to another physician. I called twice, told them when I would be coming by to pick them up, and asked to call me back should there be a problem. No call back, so I showed up, the office was closed again, although her website stated that it was open.
What a way to run a medical practice. I will complain to the California Medical Board about her.

This is the most personal, caring and kind GYN anywhere around. She puts you at ease immediately and she is over the top expert in everything she does. I cannot recommend any physician more highly! She is witty, down to earth, compassionate.and a top notch surgeon! And she takes medicare along with most insurance plans. Once you see her you will never go anywhere else. Oh.and she also does Cool Sculpt and Vaginal Rejuvenation too! Not a stuffy white coat.kindest doctor ever!

So thrilled with dr.sayago. She is very detailed and thorough. I trust her to give me all the info I need and to make the best recommendations for my health.

Worst doctor ever. Dr. Mercedes is the worst OBGYN you can use. She does not care about her patients and thier well being or the baby you are about to deliver. She recommended I have an abortion with no other options and did not handle my LOA paperwork when I had hyperemesis which almost cost me my job. She told me to just drink a coke and I would feel better even after I explained that I had lost 30 pounds in 2 months and was bedridden. After losing one child under her care, I moved on to another doctor in the area. Dr. Marinescu, which is the best decision I could have ever made.

Dr. Sayago is a gentle and patient doctor who took the time to listen to my needs. I feel like I am in very good hands when I make visits and check ups, her clinic is clean and comfortable and very welcoming, as well as her staff. It has taken me a while to find a doctor I believe in as well as connect with, and Dr Sayago is the place for me!

Dr. Sayago is an amazing doctor. She is very intelligent and takes her time to educate her patients so that they understand. She saw me and took amazing care of me during my pregnancy and was there for my delivery and birth of my first child.
I would highly recommend her because she is everything you want in a doctor. She is caring and listens and spends time with you and you never feel rushed. She is also very smart and loves what she does which also makes her a fantastic Doctor. I have seen her for 7 years and feel lucky to have met her!
