Newport Landing Whale Watching, Newport Beach CA

Due to unforeseen car problems we got there 5 minutes to boarding time and they were patient with my group. Great service. Everything clean, staff were friendly, nice and very informative.

It was amazing! The crew was great in getting us to the perfect spots. We saw two different kinds of dolphins and sea lions.

Awesome! Didn’t see any whales but saw a bunch of dolphins and some sunfish. Larry was an amazing captain!

Had a blast today with Captain Larry. Didn't get to see any whales which was a bummer but the dolphin pod and dolphin babies more than made up for it. Captain Larry took care of us though and we will definitely be back to hopefully see some whales. Thanks! Was a great way to spend the morning.

I enjoyed going on Newport Landing Whale watching cruise. Although we didn't see any whales or dolphins, but it was still a very nice cruise. I did receive a special pass to return in the future at a discounted price. Pretty cool!

This was our second trip out with this company. This time, we went with the smaller boat and fewer people. Captain Larry and Christine were great. They were personable and their love of their jobs was clear.
Christine was attentive, and Larry did a great job of pointing out what he could see - no whales today - but that's how it goes.

We had a great time. We did not see any whales, but we cruised along with about a thousand dolphin stampede. The captain was very knowledgeable. Lots of fun!

We booked our Deluxe whale watching tour through Davy's Locker. We paid the extra $20.00/ticket to sit upstairs with the captain. The extra money was well worth it. We had a great view with only three ladies plus our family of three. Captain Alex gave a great tour. He provided pertinent information about the wildlife and water conditions. He also was pleasant to chat with as the adventure progressed. He gave us a great tip about dining at the Beachcomber in Crystal Cove SP. We knew the chance of seeing whales was slim so we where not disappointed when none were seen. The large pod of Common dolphins made up for it. We also saw Bottlenose dolphins, some sea lions, birds and huge waves off the wedge. Our party of three thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. PS: The Mai Tai's were great.

The crew was fantastic! The highlight of the day was the huge pod of dolphins! We didn't see any whales, but the dolphins more than made up for it. Would definitely do it again!

We just love the cruises we book on this charter! The staff that help us book our reservations are always so helpful and cheerful and the tour round Newport Beach makes for the perfect day. Water, sun and good company! We didn't see any whales on this particular trip, but there's always marine life to see. The captain makes sure we see as much of what Newport harbor has to offer. Lots of interesting information is shared, too. A great day is guaranteed if you like being on the water as much as I do!

Oh my god! This trip was amazing! We got to see dolphins and seals and had drinks, it was such a fabulous day to spend with my husband and kiddo and also with my in-laws. The staff were so friendly and kind! I am absolutely booking this activity again
