Nick's Cafe reviews
17One of the best breakfast/brunch spots in Los Angeles. The food is consistently great. The only negative is that the prices went up way too much.it's hard to justify regularly spending $20 per person on diner food. Sorry.
It was a bit busy when I went here with a friend for lunch, but worth it. They make great busciuts and sausage gravy and the breakfast burrito was very nicely done.
Honestly one of the poorest breakfasts I've had in a while. I was surprised to see a 4.5 on Google after visiting. To start with the positive- the staff was super nice and friendly, no complaints. It wasn't busy so the food came out quickly. The rest- One of the worst pancakes I've ever had, unfortunately. It looked good, but didn't taste good. My scrambled eggs were completely shredded into tiny pieces that you had to scoop up with a spoon to eat. The sausage was just alright.
Such nice customer service, looked very clean and sleek. Food and drinks was 10/10. Would highly recommend to everyone. Bring your friends and family here.
Honestly great waitress she's been there 12 years plus. Drove past this place for the last 40 years always wanted to go they've been in business for about 70 plus years I had the breakfast patty sausage with biscuits and gravy eggs and home fries it was fantastic mom and pop place serving the LA area for almost 100 years that's crazy not too many of these places around the service was great people treating people with kindness really can see what La people are like all types of people from all walks of life coming together in this little place really love it treat it as if I had been coming here for years I just can't say enough it was a nice experience at an affordable price for good homemade meals I'll be back!
While walking around and exploring beautiful LA we found this place. And the food was delicious and homemade. They have lots of choices and I couldn't make up my mind so, I stuck with my all time fave eggs Benedict. And boy was it good. The holendaise sauce was by far the best I've had. So lemony. My Wife got the smoked salmon scramble and he love it. We also got some bloody Mary's to wash it down with. I definitely recommend this place.
1 hour over estimated delivery. Maybe it was really busy but 1 hour is too long to wait when my food was asupposed to be ready an hour ago.
Just such a perfect breakfast spot. Food was excellent with huge portions. Famous ham lived up to its name.
If I were to pick out one thing you NEED to order: biscuits and gravy.
Hated the long wait to get in. And service was a bit hands off. Will def repeat
This a really cool Los Angels diner with chic industrial vibes. The eggs Benedict was delicous, as were the omelets and other plates. It can be slightly expensive, but it was totally worth it. One can park on the street if you can't find it on the lot. The service was a little slow and the wait can be tiring, but the food and atmosphere made up for it.
Seems a little over priced for the location and was pretty outdated. My coffee mug was chipped. Other than the food was good, the service was fast and I had an overall good time. Would go back if I was in the area.
I’ve eaten here before, but this time felt terrible, as I never actually received the food, and watched as all work was placed on a single individual. A man standing outside seemed to just be an overseer of menus, as he asked me what I wanted, then said he would need to get someone else to take the order. Upon waiting 10-15. The gentleman that asked if I was going to eat, returned to tell me that it would be a few more minutes as he watched a woman bring food out to one table, then pick up empty plates from another. I asked him if he was really waiting on her to do everything, and he simply replied “yes”.
Way overpriced for what this place is. Unbelievable! They are clearly understaffed. The menu is pretty limited. Long wait times. Very old looking hole in the wall restaurant with higher than usual prices for a cafe of its caliber. Oh and good luck with the parking. I parked a block away only to be disappointed. For sure not going back again. Not even if they offer a free meal. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
On Monday, my pals and I were here. The carrot/walnut cake and cappuccino were both great. We had a great time here. The staff is extremely pleasant. This is a store where I would suggest.
Bravo! This cafeteria was amazing! I need to come back because it's a good one. Their front disk guy was very welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. He helps me a lot today. Thank you for everything. A great music selection and delicious foods. The best place to study and do the works. Cheers to more customers. Nice place!
The brunch was so delicious and great service. Very good breakfast options. I can't wait to try something else on my next visit.
Little nice Cafe! Friendly customer service.
I got a breakfast burrito.which was good in size! Flavorful. Variety of options to try on the menu.
I would like to give it a 5 star.service was a bit slow, even though it didn't look busy, burrito was good.but not insanely good.it is a Cafe, but i plan on coming again, and exploring the menu
The food tastes great, they served a good portion. The only reason why we gave it a 4 is because of the sitting arrangements.
