Supermarket Nijiya Market reviews
20They don't have that much variety. I still love coming here but I wish they would have more options.
Not bad, but nothing special. Decent selections. Most staff members were great, some younger part-timers just seemed miserable to be there. The interior is kind of shabby, nothing terrible but just meets the bare minimum of a grocery store.
The best tasting "fresh" sushi ever.daily! And for being a small market, surprisingly they have a great selection of food, produce, and household goods. I drive 50 miles round-trip just to shop there and well-worth. Nijiya is my go-to store when it comes to Japanese food.
Having access to japanese goods is totally excellent. Prices are as you would expect. Items made fresh, in-store, are tasty and a bargain.
Awesome Market with all your Japanese essential items. If you need help in spanish ask for Felipe.
This store is great only thing I they need a little more friendly people. The cashier I had he was so sweet and friendly and why I gave you guys 3.
Nice medium-sized japanese grocery store with good selection of matcha and bottled teas, seaweed snacks, miso paste, japanese snacks and beers, etc. There are also some prepared meals but that fridge section is often mostly empty (maybe because of covid, havent been here before prior to covid times)
I used to live in Japan and decided to look up Japanese grocery stores. I was surprised there was one so close to where I live. The staff was great. They definitely take customer service seriously.the products were great as well. The produce was fresh and reasonably priced. They even had Japanese music playing. It definitely took me back. Thank you!
Small, but well organized. Staff is friendly and courteous. Was in and out with no wait or problems at all.
I been come to this Japanese market for more then 10year. Never even once disappointed.good quality control
I work here as security but wow am I lucky any japanese food or any other product you need they have it! They also serve Ramen from 11am to 3pm very deliciouse here, very good people i work with very friendly, id defiantly come check this Nijiya Market out if your in the Puente Hills area.
The meat from this place is so fresh! The snacks are a little more expensive than usual, but it's fine.:)
This is a great market to get all your Japanese goods. They have fresh produce and a restaurant are where you can buy freshly prepared Japanese food. They also offer samples to try out - like at Costco and the employees can answer all your questions on it’s preparation. The store is clean and well lit and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. There is even an ice bin and bags in case you need to keep your purchase cold while on your commute back home.
Reminded me of my trip to Japan. It's like a market and 7-11 in Tokyo. Only place I've found the yogurt drink.
Good place to shop for some Japanese food and goods. Don't forget on every month 29th. Meat has discount.
Very good bentos. Small store with almost everything you can think about from a Japanese supermarket.
A lot of fun on meat day. Check out the sample stations and various bentos available. There are also some tables to sit down and eat.
I used to shop here every week and it was a great little store with tons of great foods and other stuff. A little expensive but that goes for every Japanese place
More selection than marukai on some items like tea but it's a smaller market. Not many sale items like marukai. Two sampling tables. Small deli in the front. 20% off some items late afternoons.
