My place for "onigiri and my Pocari Sweat. " They usually have the back of the store well stocked before 1130am. I arrived early and was pleasantly surprised they were already putting out fresh Onigiri at 10 am. Plus one of the few places I knlw that sells my favorite Royal Milk Tea! Its so good! But light on the caffeine. Hahaha.

Japanese market and deli. Kids will go for the Japanese candy at front of the store so beware.lots of choices.

Rare gem in San Mateo. The prices are reasonable. But this store is very cramped and hard to walk around with a grocery cart specially when it’s crowded. Stick to the basket! Good selection of fresh Japanese lunch meals that are packed and ready-to-eat! They provide chop sticks at the cash register. Staff are friendly.

Small Japanese market with a very good selection of food and drink, especially given the store size. The only downside is the parking lot can become difficult to navigate at prime times.

Good selection of products. The staff is always helpful and friendly. I love their fresh sushi for a quick takeout lunch.

Great for all sorts of Japanese groceries and read made meals a decent price; lots of seasonal and theme based specials as well.

Smallish, typical nijiya. Great meat, decent seafood, prepared food and pantry items + Asian snacks. Vegetables and fruits are generally more lacklustre and overpriced.

Occasionally, there are some good deals on Japanese beers. Also the only place in a 20mi radius to offer true Japanese import rice (but note that due to transit time, the rice will already be months old)

I love the food they offer. Their California rolls are really good and they seem to be fresh. It's a good place to grab a quick lunch

If you are looking for a quick way to get authentic Japanese meal, especially sushi sashimi stuff, this is the best store in the redwood city area.

My wife loves the large bento selection in the back, especially the fried squid. The cashiers are not unfriendly, but often won't greet or thank you, even when I say "Thank you" after paying.
