Niko Sushi reviews
18Excellent quality and very fresh. We are used to all you can eat sushi places and Niko's puts all of those to shame. Definitely worth every penny. The toro is a must try.
Good but not great sushi. They told me food would be ready for pick up in one hour and I had to wait an extra 35 min after arriving at the designated time.
Came in for the first time. Very cute cozy place. Clean. Really good sushi. Prices are fair for what you get. Sushi chefs and the staff are very friendly. I'll definitely be coming back here.
There is no comparison. If you truly enjoy REAL sushi - as in nice cuts of raw fish for nigiri sushi, sashimi, TRADITIONAL (not gimmick) rolls - then this is the best place around. Every person I take here is blown away and says they can never go back to their sushi spot.
I believe that Niko (the owner), or whoever handles the buying, simply has a special talent for selecting the VERY BEST fish available. Once you have eaten here you will never enjoy the food at the "trendy" places in studio city, Hollywood, etc. You will realize they are all hype. I can go on. Just go.
By far some of the best sushi I've had in the valley. The Yosi hand rolls are amazing! The hand rolls are huge and delicious. The quality of the fish is fresh and perfect cuts.
Large portions and very fresh.place is small but stays packed in essence of Tokyo. Worth the wait.
It was good. Service was great, friendly, and fast. The fish was good, fresh, and tasty. I'll call this the beginner's guide to sushi. If you're looking to try out the easy favorites, come here!
My favorite neighborhood sushi. Just love Niko sushi always fresh, reasonable prices and delicious food. YOU MOST try the Seabass hand roll.
Best sushi restaurant in town period! Nick and his team consistently deliver amazing food and service, I would recommend anytime!
The food is not bad but the service was disappointing. We came in and were asked about drinks right away, but we wanted to ask for something else and our server just turned around and left not giving us a chance to order everything we wanted. The menu is not too big, no pictures, I used yelp pictures to choose what I wanted. We waited for 15 minutes ready to order and they would just walk by not stopping or asking if we were ready. The food came and it was nothing special, California roll was dry. I was pretty surprised to find out that they charge for sauces.
The most disappointing part was that we weren't asked if we want refills, not even once, everyone at the table had empty cups and 3 waitress walking by didn't notice. At the beginning of our dinner it was busy, but towards the end it wasn't as bad anymore so I hope we would get little bit more attention.
Delicious and relatively priced. Menu is a bit small for those specialty roll lovers. But sushi taste fresh and satisfying.
Absolutely the best suhi! Always fresh and generous amount of fish, attentive service and not as expensive.
A great strip-mall sushi place. Find it to be clean, friendly and serving some very nice fish. Had the seared white tuna and it was quite tasty. I was skeptical about the fried onion, but it works.
I would give it a negative rating if they let me.
Went there tonight to order dinner, asked for mix tempura with no Carrots or Onions all i got was green beans. I called to complain and they kept putting me on hold. Super disappointed with the service. I wont be eating here anymore. I've going there for 10 plus years not as great anymore.
Amazing Sushi! Great selection and the only place I have been able to get pompano and spanish mackerel on a regular basis. Very good size portions for the money and specialty dishes you wont find anywhere else.
If you think you have tasted the best sushi at some other place think again. Nikos by far has the most insane sushi anywhere and it's not just the freshness but also the cuts of Fisher they get. Eevery time I eat there I'm amazed at how they do it and how it's possible to maintain that kind of consistency. Just be careful as after eating there all else will pale in comparison. No joke!
Best sushi on Tarzana. Prices are good, service is okay, sushi chefs are nice. I've never had to wait for seating and the food is always fresh.
