NORMS Restaurant reviews
20Before COVID, Norms sign boasted, "We Never Close". I DO miss that, but I don't stay out at hours anymore either. The "Bigger, Better Breakfasr^ might be gone, but many great options are available for all meals. Norms IS a great American diner.
This one of the Very best Norms Restuarant on this planet named Earth and located in Thee Costa Mesa City.
The Cooks are Exceptional and the Servers and support Employees are Team Player's.
Thank you for Employing Covid-19 protocols.
Should be Hungry before 11 or 12 midnight
Norms is the spot also they Serve Healthy Breakfast and excellent eye opening Coffee.

Viviana is a excellent waitress she is kind and she is happy to see customer went we got to the restaurant she smile and gave us a warm welcome I love that makes us feel like home thankyou Viviana we was happy to be in norm
Nice restaurant to have a decent meal for breakfast, lunch or dinner and not too expensive.
Servers always attentive and good attitude.
My server today was Rocky, he's always great.
Because of my work, is been my favorite place for late dinner. And very close to home.
Just love it.
Good food, good service. Is great.
This is what you would expect at at basic diner. The food is decent, but not going to knock your socks off. The breakfast menu is much tastier then the lunch and dinner menu. They have great food for a hangover, it is very greesy.
I'm a traveler and wanted a hot meal on Christmas day. I ordered pickup and when I got to the restaurant, they were swamped being the only place around that was open. The lobby/waiting area was chaos. Somehow when my food was ready, it got stolen. I think I saw which guy took it, actually. The manager handled the frustrating situation with poise and efficiency. He made sure it was remade right away and when I got back to the motel with my food, there were extra items like gumbo and a double hamburger instead of a single! Sometimes things go wrong but it's how a business handles those times that shows how good or bad they are as a business. If I could give them a hundred stars, I would. I was even hangry and crabby with them and apologized. It was a hectic day for everyone and I highly recommend you try this place if you're ever in this area. Merry Christmas and thank you, sir, for your patience and problem solving.
Unfortunately the location wasn't clean. I used a lysol wipe to wipe down the table, and it left the wipe dirty. As for the food, I only ordered pancakes and they came back burned. I asked if they can be remade, and bagged just bagged to go. They were still dark when I got them back.
I tried their liver & onions plate with salad (blue cheese dressing of course) and a bowl of chicken gumbo soup.very good. I was bummed out to learn that Norms is no longer a 24 hour restaurant due to COVID-19, but they still get 5 stars simply because their food is very delicious & moderately priced.
They served us an old steak that not only did it look bad but it stunk bad.
Never in my 57 years of living and eating out have I ever EVER had such a horrific experience
You are better off at dennys or even ihop.
They didn’t think anything of it and just covered half of 2 meals.
Will I ever return? No but he’ll NO! For that no! To any norms!
Norm's is steady, I always know that what I order will be acceptable as it was the last visit. If I can't decide then I know Norm's is a good goto.
When you're hungry and I'm a budget this is the place to go.
You can get a huge meal for pennies-on-the-dollar I love it
Terrible first impression! My partners coffee came with somebody else's thick lipstick marks on the mug. Talk about a major turnoff! Lucky we didn't walk out, the stuff is really gross especially with covid the standard for cleanliness needs to be even higher.
Then bizarrely the coffee was served with creamer and a small open condiment cup.
This was our first time at Norm's, and we were excited to try it out. I thought it might be a step up from IHOP or Denny's. But neither of us were impressed. Definitely not are new default coffee shop, in fact probably not worth the effort of going back.
Very clean. Food was well cook and warm, great flavor and exelent service, I'm now visiting NORMS twice a week for breakfast
Classic California Diner. Norm's has been around for years but our first time. Food was good, service friendly, safe environment.
Had breakfast with my dad it was ours second time, we really enjoyed the service and the food, Esteban (the server) was really kind to us, thank you!
The food was ready quickly and it was cheap but it wasn't very good. The servers were attentive but the vibe in there was very weird and uncomfortable. It's fine if nothing else is open and you want to quickly eat and run.
This location has really gone "downhill" in the past several years.desperately NEEDS A VERY DEEP CLEAN, or BETTER YET, A REMODEL". And the glasses and plates they use for in house service are old, plastic and frankly look unclean.they are so worn and dingy. Sorry Norms.you guys and this location was a family favorite 18 years ago, but now it isn't very appetizing anymore.the quality of their fish plates is simply awful.
It's a shame that the homeless are taking over orange county. I ate breakfast at norms on harbor blvd and needed 2 use the restroom, I noticed that the homeless had taken over the restroom making it impossible for paying customers to use. I had to go use the restroom at home depot. Thanks home depot.
This was my first time to Norms restauran. I'm sure I'll be back. I really appreciate the American style, design, and food. The hash brown was the best: golden, crunchy, and delicious. The steak was perfectly grilled. The coffee was acceptable. The pancakes we're good. No choices of syrups; only maple. I didn't like the inflexiblity of the menu; we weren't allowed to substitute some items.
