North Italia reviews
20Excellent food. Pizza, spaghetti and the garlic bread were simply amazing. Apologize for the generic naming but that’s all it takes to evaluate the experience.
Coming from Belgium for our vacation.
This little restaurant in Santa Monica is a delight.and great service
Excellent in everything
Warm welcome but waiting time for a table is a bit long
Top and warm service
Top food
The best restaurant of our entire stay
Beautiful setting and location
We end our vacation in style
Lovely restaurant, good service and staff friendly. Great food. Nice atmosphere. Would recommend.
My wife found this place and the food was great but the service is what really stood out to us. Our server Chad was incredibly hospitable and worth coming to this place time and time again!
I think it is one of the best places to try Italian cuisine. The food is very delicious and the portions are big. I highly recommend to try the pizza Margherita, the Burrata pasta and the roasted veggies&kale salad. As an appetizer a portion of white truffle bread goes perfect.
North Italia has been the go-to Sunday lunch spot for hubby and I. We love taking drives along the coast and stop here for relaxing bite to eat. Very Yummy
The food service at Lightning Protection Restaurant is extremely slow. Even if the seats are not full, we have to wait for more than an hour for dinner. I looked around and everyone had to wait at least 40 minutes for their food to be served. Another thing to note is to be careful when the waiter serves you more food. The waitress who served us asked us what kind of bread we were eating when ordering. She didn't mention whether there was any charge. We all thought it was a free appetizer provided by the restaurant. Finally, I picked up the bill, which showed that I needed to pay twenty dollars for bread. To customers who want to eat here, all I can say is run! The pasta is not worth the trip alone.
I didn’t expect to go to several great food places this trip to LA, but we did this place is huge. They have an outdoor patio and seven rows of tables. The menu didn’t have much variations here, but the options included were all good for lunch time. The server was attentive and friendly. Our dishes arrived exactly as ordered in respect to how we want them cooked. I was facing the kitchen and through the glass, I could see the chefs and the dynamic inside the kitchen. I should say I enjoyed it. We ended up getting a free dessert, which was truly tasty and flavorful. I loved the experience and I might try other locations. I left happy and full.
We had Floyd as our waiter and he was phenomenal! Very attentive and knew the menu so well as well as patient and accommodating! So glad he was out waiter. We will be coming back when we are travelling in town again
Delicious garlic bread I’ve ever had, not even kidding. Their bread was fluffy, thick, soft, topped with fluffy cheese, crunchy, and the list can go on. I ordered the regular version (different from the menu one). For those who like the classic simple garlic bread or the picky eaters, you can get that too! Came to eat here with my family after a long day at the beach and left satisfied with the food (the bolognese is a must). Felt welcomed with our server, Zack. He was friendly and sincerely the best!
We requested utensils in our takeout order, but they didn’t provide any. Which was really annoying when we were at the beach and not able to eat our food. They stapled the bag together and the receipt said there were utensils so we didn’t want to rip open the bag at the restaurant to double check…
The food was incredibly delicious, I loved the transparency kitchen and the Atmosphere was romantic & intimate. However our server was a snob, drinks were left unfill & food wasn't brought out together, waited about five minutes for a salad when everyone else had received their pasta.
Nice restaurant with good food at a reasonable price leve, compared to average restaurants in the area.
Great restaurant. My family and I had a lovely birthday dinner here in July. Chad our server went over and above to make our experience a memorable one. The food is great and I would definitely go back on my next trip.
Very cute restaurant within walking distance of the Santa Monica Pier. Great service and food was delicious.
The spaghetti and meatballs was awesome. The pasta was al dente (perfect) and the meatball was very flavorful and well cooked. A simple meal done very well. The bartender never checked in with me though, nor asked what I needed or how it was. I definitely could have used extra cheese but it’s over now. He asked the pretty girls next to me about 3x how their one meal was though I’d still however go back.
Our server was fantastic. The manager took time to ensure our visit was perfect. The food and drinks were clean and refreshing after a long day. My daughter loved the margherita pizza. And I'm obsessed with the tiramisu. We will come back on our next visit to Santa Monica. Great stop!
Unacceptable management. Booked in the line and After 35 minutes some friend arrived and passed ahead. Once our turn, 40 minutes of waiting the said no more pizza availbable. Please remove the name Italia from the label
We decided to go to this Italian restaurant after reading all the eloquent posts. Quite disappointed: at the reception we are asked for our phone to let us know when a table becomes available. After 20 minutes, no news, we return to the restaurant. The waitress had forgotten us.well, we are given a table qd mm. The prosciutto pizza is with arugula and figs, not the slightest trace of tomato sauce. The dough is good but very greasy and where did the wood fire go? Spaghetti bolognese are tagliatelle with a tabasco sauce. Brief
