They have two cashiers Stephanie and May who need some training about customer service because they are the worst in dealing with customers. As soon as you approach them they just say: "Do you need a bag? " No greeting, no smile, no thank you, nothing. Even robots greet you and thank you for your business. These cashiers are unfair as they treat customers differently. If they have good management, they wouldn't have behaved that way, but the store management itself needs training about customer service. So the reason is the poor and uneducated management they have. Bad employees and bad management.

I give this place 5 stars for the Carne Asada and Marinated Chicken dark meat, (Polo Asada) Its excellent on the grill and makes great tacos or burritos.

This place is expensive n bad quality produce. This is the second time I buy bread from there and it came out very old that it can’t hold for a sandwich. And the price of three pieces is five dollars which is not cheap at all. Plus there is no expiration date on the bread bag. Shame people

My favorite place to shop for great food. Hummus, feta, baba ganoush, fresh Afghani bread, deli, everything wonderful. Great fruit and veggies. A meat market that is great.

This is a very humble and quick place to get a persian-Iraqi style meal to go. I really miss the dolmas. I used to take them to work for lunch.

Customer service is getting worse every day. They have a new cashier whose name (in the receipt) is Nazar. He doesn't know what customer service is. So arrogant and has a bad attitude. He never greets customers or says any pleasant or welcoming words as if he's a dumb person. Come on, dude! What do you think you are? Are we buying stuff for free? We're paying your wages? If not the customers, you'll be out of work! Just be humble and treat customers with respect and welcoming attitude. Be nice so we can buy your meat and rice!

Came to San Diego for a week so we needed a Halal meat store. They had an overall good selection. They also had prepackaged to-go kebab plates which was cool. I asked one of the employees if all the meat was Halal and was told it was but when I came back 2 days later to get some deli slices I noticed the cold cuts were not! They also sold pork products which I haven't seen a Halal store stock. Place was clean and staff was friendly over all.

I go to North Park Produce for their store-made Babaganoush, Bulgarian Feta, peeled garlic and huge gallon sized Kalamata pitted olives. Like their produce and ethnic products. There is hot food to take out, great prices. I love seeing ethnic clothing worn by the customers, too. Worth the drive from Imperial Beach.

This is my go-to place for all kinds of ethnic foods from Asia, Africa and Europe. Among the interesting stuff one can score here are a few types of phyllo pastry (Greece and Turkey), many kinds of buckwheat and canned fish and mushrooms (Russia, Estonia, Poland), all sorts of Middle Eastern produce and prepared foods, freshly baked breads and a slew of exotic dairy products such as Ryazhenka, Lebni and Kashkaval.
Hands down the best choice of Feta cheese, both local and imported.
Produce is OK but not great although there are items that you won't normally find in other stores like for example bulgur and some rare fresh herbs. Butcher has cold and hot smoked mackerel from Norway, which are one of my favorite dinners with some potato salad. Decent quality lamb and goat cuts for curries and North African specialties, and you can find all the spices needed for that as well. Essential spot, really.

Brian wrote a review a few month's back. Get over the masking and stay in your bubble for the next 5 yrs. Good luck!

I used to love to go here but today's experience has turned me off completely. At least half the staff did not wear masks and about half the clientele did not wear masks. It's currently required by law. Did not feel safe and won't return.

Triple vax here. I'm not going to wear a face mask anymore, half your staff is not even wearing it properly. No one is enforcing this, state employees are not coming in. It is your choice to say anything about it vs shutting your hole. Knock it off. "Through public records requests, NBC 7 learned that not a single fine was collected by San Diego County officials through mask mandate enforcement. "
