Northgate Market, South Gate CA

Very nice staff and the hot food that is ready to go is absolutely yummy I bought a watermelon water and its tasty

I don't go to Northgate. I go to the meat bowl in the same shopping center. I recommend it. Everything is stir fried, I get the Shrimp fried rice and broccoli and beef.

I went to.purchase Green Giant Mexican corn. It is no longer in stock at this store that in the past, I was able to purchase thos product at this store.

This Northgate is really cool I like it because the people that work there are pretty nice and seems right now we can't really go to any cashier that we want to because of the pandemic they make us make a line but it was actually pretty quick the food is always fresh the veggies and everything else they usually have a lot of product coming in every day the bread is fresh and the best part of it all is that I kind of live across the street from it so I could just walk 2 it whenever I want but overall there's always parking and when you're making line inside of the Northgate Market to get meat it also moves pretty quick so yes this one over here in South Gate I definitely recommend it

I like to visit this store to buy certain foods. However, I’m worried at this time because employees are not practicing social distancing especially during the rush hours. The employee that was in charge of moving people to the corresponding lines, was crowding the cashier to move the line quickly. This made me feel very unsafe since people around me couldn’t keep 6ft apart. The employee even moved my cart to the cashier when I was not ready and placed my items on the band as if rushing me. I was so uncomfortable with this.

Bought some prepared food for Sunday grill out. Guacamole was way more expensive than meat market. Food was good but not cheap.

I have been going to this market for years and in the last few years, I have seen an improvement over all. I'm giving them 4 stars, because they are accomplishing what the need to pretty well, over all. This is not a Ralph's Fresh Fair, Gelson's or Whole Foods. It a local market chain focusing on Latino products and services. Here is what they do right
1. Provide products that their clientele want and will pay for. For example, their meat department provides cuts of meat, poultry and fish that their customers want at reasonable prices.
2. Provide a range of produce, dry goods and specialty items you won't find at your typical Big market chain.
3. Provide great customer service.
I don't really speak Spanish very well, yet they are always accommodating.
4. They add value by having a full service bakery, food court and fresh juice bar (agua fresca, etc.)

Northgate gets a 4 star rating because they are being who they need to be for their clients.

Love their fresh breads tortillas makings for tamales but me may not always be as fresh employees are always helpful and fast

I was trying to get Ceviche the line took forever that even two people on the line went to talk to the manager. After I got my order the helper was being sarcastic to me. I believe the issue of management

It is always very packed. The lines are long. The reason I gave them 3 stars instead of 2 is the quality of food and prices

I like the store but the staff in the food court have no sense of urgency, be careful if you complain the manager and the employees totally have no care for the customer. They will leave you waiting and won’t even apologize, nor will they go above and beyond for the customer. I guess I need to go back to Ralph’s or Albertsons, at least there you get what you pay for.

Not as clean as food 4 less but they do have a huge selection of Mexican products here also the little restaurant I side has really delicious food! Andnthe horchata is the bomb!

Today is the second time i find a hair in the bread of the slice of strawberry short cake. Never again buying cake from here again.

So we had a craving for something sweet.we wanted something from the other side of the pastry display case.my wife and I were waiting for some one to attend us.no one came.we asked the security if the bakery was opened.she said yes and pointed to 2 men. I called out to them a few times.and they ignored us.one of them looked right at us with a smurk and continued doing whatever it was he was doing.finally after much frustration we started walking away.when they saw that then they were trying to attend to us.but we were so upset.we ended up getting cookies from the isle, these guys are just to comfortable with their jobs

Bad customer service. The girl at the bakery always has an attitude. If you ask her something she respond with an attitude. The cashier are slow well some. This place needs to have better there customer service or hire people that actually wants to work.

I went in to order some cupcakes and was told I was going to be charged $1.50 for each cupcake I changed the color. I am not going to pay $52 for 2 dozen cupcakes when I know for a fact they are frozen and not fresh. I use to work here, these people are greedy and arent even clean.it just pisses me off, since they were last minute they think they can charge people stupid amounts of money.
