Northridge Park Aquatic Center reviews
10I don't go to public pools much. I have been here a few times. It's OK, they do have plenty of rules. I suggest you call in and see if they have any classes going on. The last time I went they closed off sections due to swim classes and some other classes. Not plenty of swimming space. It get a little busy on warmer days. Admission is only a few dollars. You must wear swim suit. Swimming diapers for babies, toddlers.
I have been coming to this park since 2009 with my grandkids. We use the aquatic Center every summer and the rest of the year we do picnics, play in the kids playground, and celebrate several birthdates. Now, both grandsons practice and play flag football. The park has playground for toddlers and bigger kids until 10 years. It has basketball, baseball, soccer and football area. Of course, the aquatic center has water play ground, pool side for small kids and a regular pool for adults and kids who can pass the swimming test. It has cement tables and barbecue sets where I have cook hotdogs and hamburgers many time. It's very big with great shades from the trees. It's near McDonald, the police station and the fire department. It is very safe and very family oriented. They have a hunting house for Halloween and during the years many different festivals.
I purchased a free lap pass for $25 and the next week the pool location was closed on and off for three months due to electrical issues. I reached out to the supervisor at this location numerous times to see if I could get an updated swim pass or even a refund and after a year of being given the run around I was told by Leo Barajas, newly promoted I might add, through an assistant named Tori that he could neither provide me with a new swim pass or a refund. Tori by the way called me and it was the first time the pool staff at any location has ever returned a call to me throughout this entire ordeal. I would purchase a swim pass cautiously at this location and any other as the staff while great lifeguards fail to actually value the financial backing patrons contribute.
People that frequent the park can be rude and don't realize the apparatus are for children and NOT adults.
The pool is very clean but the staff is horrible bunch of young kids yelling at people all day long. No chairs and you are not allowed to eat in there. They offer no food or drinks have picnic tables but no food or drink. The one lifeguard yelled at a lady with 2 kids because she was feeding them. They are like little police officers always yelling and screaming at people.
Just walked in with my kids that were very exited to get in the pool. The cashier guy said it was $7 for all of us, gave him a $20 and he said, “we don’t have change and we don’t take credit cards”. I guess we are supposed to carry singles and the public is supposed to know that they don’t have change, so ridiculous. First time here and never coming back.
5$ for 2 people (child & adult) they open less than HALF the pool for open swim & if your child cannot swim your forced to hold them the entire time because they don’t allow floaties
If I can give no stars I would. The main staff JENN IS SO RUDE. SHE comes outta no where is just starts talking smack about everything there was a special needs kid and his dad and she didn’t even say it nicely she went straight to them yelling that they can’t be standing on the stairs. All he was doing was trying to help his son swim. Then she comes to me and my son yelling that she don’t want ppl with regular clothes on I told her he has his swim clothes under and he’s not swimming. She said he still has to leave. I said ok but ima wait till his dad comes to send him out. She laughed in a rude way and walked away. Plus they have such a small swimming area. Most staff are nice but most the life guards are rude guys.
Very clean kid friendly. Love the aquatic part of park. Can't wait to take my granddaughter to swim when open.
Been going here since I was a kid, love this park. It is one of my favorite parks ever, it is always well kept and the management takes good care of the park. There is also a basketball courts, baseball, tennis, and extra spce for football or soccer. Watch out for gopher holes!
