Northside Tavern, San Diego CA

Sabrina the owner is fantastic. They had water and treats for our dog out on the patio. Awesome atmosphere!

I really want to like Northside tavern. The food and drinks are great, they have a great outdoor space and tons of TVs which could be a great sports bar set up. The problem is their TV set up links most of the TVs to the same channel so it it very limiting on the # of games they can play at the same time. So much potential and would probably go every Sunday if they upgraded their system to have NFL Sunday ticket and every game on!

Food was great. Red chilequiles.
I went in for chile rellenos smothered in chile verde. Not on menu. I'll be back to try other items that are actually on the menu. The pozole (red pork) allegedly rocks. Winter is coming.

The beer selection was pretty bad, cocktails were loaded with sugar, went for football Sunday and the atmosphere was pretty flat, their TV setup stinks so beware

We came here last year and had a wonderful time. Decided for our 5 year anniversary we'd come back for dinner. Unfortunately, we walked in and sat for 30 minutes and no one once came up to even greet us. I would understand if it were busy but it was mostly empty. I'm just really disappointed. We left to go to another restaurant.

Nice patio and big bar. Dog friendly patio, as well as a smoking section. Pool table is a bonus.

Loved the vibe here. Staff was awesome! Definitely will be the go to Niner bar when in SD. Food was AMAZING! Drinks were even better. Can’t wait to go back.

Very friendly staff and great happy hour. It is a much better menue now and outdoor seating. Pet friendly. Love it!

Missed breakfast but lunch was delicious! Also portion sizes were huge I ended up having to take home the leftovers. Very close to dog beach, so we were able to sit out on the patio with our fur baby.

Just okay. Apparently, the Google menu shown is outdated, no Thursday hotdogs. Draft is your standard selection and 7% more expensive than other places just down the street. No happy hour for food and drinks? Disappointing. They had two bartenders and they seemed friendly. Only had one girl waiting on tables during dinner rush. Had to go up to the bar to order and then lost my table because I was alone and didn't want to wait more than 20min just to order. Signs everywhere that state no dogs except service animals but a regular had one at the bar. In my short visit, everything gives me indication that there's poor front end management. I didn't want to take my chances on how long food was going to take. Left for a different place on Voltaire. Tried the establishment but didn't care for it. In this area, too many choices and not a good enough first time experience to warrant a second.

It is a pool bar that used to be a pool bar called mother environment and over the time I have spent here are low key and since I am locally neighbors with NST I have to honestly say it's laid back comparably to most other places at busier times of the day or night.

The food has taken a huge step up. I highly recommend the Pazole. Great group of bartenders and security. I love the Tuesday crew and Jen the best!

I went last night to meetup with some friends as we all live close by and can walk there. Last night was the first time I had tried the food and it was really good. The Pozole I had was amazing, I would definitely recommend it and get it again. My friend had the Carnitas Nachos and it also looked great, so I took a photo of it and will post it here. Def want to come back with my wife since she loves Carnitas Nachos and pozole

Got the Mac and cheese with sausage and it was amazing! Great service (Perry rocks), clean bathrooms, outside heaters, decent drink selection and will return

Wonderful. Makes me no longer miss Mother's. Sabrina is terrific. Sliders yum. Fish and Chips delicious and a lot of quality fish

I walked in sat down at the bar, , waited for 30 minutes to get a drank, the girl bartender had some attitude and judged my tip payment.never coming back to this shack
