Notorious Burgers, Carlsbad CA

I want to like this place. Enter and sit at pretty empty bar. Pre diner lull. Perfect. Tender drops the menus No “yo”, “hey” or a “you look like shit”…. Nothing. 5 minutes later (I timed it) I walked out I was freshly showered too

Had 3 meals there the last 3 days. Enjoyed it very much. I would tell you that the lemon curd dessert was outstanding but I can't. BECAUSE I don't want so many people to order it that they run out again before I can get mine. Apparently Mama makes them herself and if she takes time off then the customers are SOL. So order anything but that.

Our family's chosen place to reunite, food always fresh and prepared as ordered. Burgers, fries, salads, Onion rings, wings, Never disappoint. We love it.

I was looking for a local place to grab a burger, beers, and watch the baseball game on TV. This place sidn't disappoint what I was looking for. Small and intimate indoors but large patio if coming with a big group. Bartender, Nas, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the beers on tap. Delicious burger (Blackened Blue) and they have Pliny the Elder on tap (chef's kiss).

Phenomenal food and service. Quality pub food with creative flair, great beer selection that's always got something new, and the bartenders and wait staff are fast, friendly, and courteous. I always stop in when in the area. Can't recommend enough.

So disappointed and disgusted and almost dead. I ordered some burgers to go asked for grilled onions on the side went home and put the grilled onions on my burger went to eat it and found a huge piece of metal in my onions because I found it by biting into it. It could have seriously hurt me or worse. Add that on top of every item I ordered being wrong, so I'm done with this place. Give me a phone number for the owner. We need to discuss this

Had a Blackened Blue burger last night which was phenomenal. My side of choice was salad, which comes with a delicious White Balsamic so Tonight I tried a Greek salad which looked and tasted amazing until I discovered under that feta, the cucumbers appear to have the center (best part) Eaten, not cut. There’s one cut slice. The rest were clearly biten. Why would the best part be removed at all? Just gross. Wasn’t sure how to rate because it was otherwise not bad but the White Balsamic on the house salad was tastier.

Large group of us went after a long day at LegoLand. We didn’t have reservations but they were still very accommodating. Johnny was our waiter who went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Notorious burger was delicious as were the brussel sprouts and onion rings. Don’t leave without bread pudding! Will definitely return if we make another trip to Carlsbad.

They're alright. Not a bad burger place by any means, but the price for what you get is questionable. The service was good, but with so many good burger joints it's hard to choose this place. Still a decent option, though.

Horrible. Found large rusty piece of metal in my burger toppings. Totally could of gotten hurt. Tried calling and left a message have yet to receive a call back. Absolutely horrible.

Soggy bun, wrong cheese, burger not well seasoned, fries seemed previously frozen, not fresh cut. Mediocre burger at best.

We weren't excited about our experience. Our food was served before our beers, so no second order was needed. Although the burger I had was tasty, it was over shadowed by the burnt brioche it was served on. Fries are fab. My husband ordered the Capone and said it was only okay. We'll have to think twice before another visit.

The staff was so friendly kinda small but has a great patio area, so let's talk about the food one of the best burgers I have ever had serving size is big, drinks were strong definitely going back.

Employees were understaffed, ya know 2022 and all. And even with that they provided good service. Please support these guys and the owners in providing awesome food and a nice setting.

We had couple chicken sandwiches and a beyond burger sandwich. They were okay, not bad and nothing special, had better tasting chicken sandwiches at some other places. There beer choice though was pretty good.
