Nova Nail Spa, San Diego CA

I was a loyal customer and I feel bad writing this but Jasmine is toxic for their multiple salons. They own Mimosa and Nova in Carmel Mountain. The first time, I was getting a mani-pedi with Jasmine. I made a comment to add more polish where it was see through and received a “massage” that left bruises. The next time I requested Ivy who had always been great. I noticed her talking to Jasmine and they were laughing. I received an arm massage that left bruises on my upper arms. I’m not one to complain at the time and tipped well on both accounts. I just can’t stay silent any longer. Sorry Kelly, but that’s twice and I won’t be back. What kind of a “service” are you providing?

I recently visited Nova Nail spa for the first time last week. My bridal party and myself got our nails done for my wedding. Jaclyn and Kelly tag teamed my opal/marbled nails and I am so happy with them. I’m very much a tomboy and not gentle on my nails, and these nails have already withstood several accidental yanks and they’re rock solid. Love them and I’ll absolutely come back

Went back today and as always Kelly the loving boss gave me a VIP treatment as always and my favorite nail artist Tai who makes me laugh and forget my worries at home and work. They really meticulously work on our nails and give our money's worth. Come and try them and see for yourself.

Kelly, Thai, and all staff are superb and you always feel at home when you are there.
They treat you like a queen. And they gave me 10% discount being a member there for years now and also because it was my birthday.

I love coming to Nova Nail Spa! They always do an exceptional job and are super friendly. Sometimes I have emergencies and have to go somewhere else, then I get so mad at myself because the quality is not up to par with NNS. They’re the best!

I am giving Nova Nail Spa 1 star because the technician ripped the dip powder off of my fingernails. I paid for the dip removal in which the technician ripped off the dip with cuticle pliers. My nail beds were damaged in the process. The dip removal should have been removed with a nail drill. She would have left my nails a mess unless I paid extra money for her to fix it. I was charged $35 for her to vigorously and painfully buff my nails with no polish and then quickly leave to go to another client. Additionally, they showed me a price card for the advanced pedicure and then gave me a different price from what the price card showed. They use their lack of English to get away with it.

I wouldn't call this place a spa. A spa is a place where you go to relax and people take care of you. Their prices are high. I wouldn't have minded paying if they were nicer and took care and time with their clients. I told the owner about the nail bed ripping, and the tech insisting I get a manicure in order to fix it, and she wouldn't give me any portion of my money back. The owners are only interested in money and they want their workers to be quick with their clients. If you want to pay a premium go somewhere where they actually give you premium service including taking their time with you.

Tracy is the best! Always pays attention to detail and takes her time. All of the employees are very nice and welcoming as well!

I’ve been going to this salon since they opened in 2014 and I love them! The salon itself has a great vibe. It’s gorgeous and spotless. The equipment is new and they have all the latest products. Quality is on point and the service is exceptional. Everyone seems genuinely happy to be there and happy to provide the best experience. They know me by name and always remember the details of what I like. While I definitely have my favorites, they are all very capable of providing quality nails. I can say nothing but good things about this salon. Kelly and David run a great shop that always delivers.

I have been coming to Nova Nail Spa for years everyone in the shop is very welcoming. Tracy has been doing my nails and I never leave disappointed she does a wonderful job.

Megan did an amazing job on my nails! An update I’ve had them for a week and they look the exact same! Definitely go here for acrylic nails!

UPDATE: I had to come back and add one final star after today's experience! My nail technician was a superstar, I believe her name is Tiffany. She was so patient and caring. She also gave me the best massage I've ever gotten during a Pedi. I'll definitely have to book with her next time I come here. Thank you for the wonderful service.

The girl that did Was so rough and filed Down My natural now so much. She left all my nails lumpy and crooked And they're all cut to different Leaths. It's just a second day of having them and one of already broke off.
. And for this bad full acrylic set The total came out to be $95 When on the website it says it'll be $60.

Wonderful, friendly, and caring staff. Took care of all my needs. My nails look terrific! The owner guarantees if I damage any in the next week or two, they will gladly repair them for me for free! This is excellent customer service! I'll be back when I visit San Diego!

T Nails in Lemon Grove did the worst job on my nails they were so bulky they looked awful and they charged me way over what they were worth I spent 100.00! I went into Nova nails and not only were they super accommodating with time they were awesome very kind and did a great job my nails have never looked better I would suggest anybody going to Nova nails

So I'm giving this business a low rating because this is the second time that they price gouged me. Today it was $5 extra to buff my nails because I asked for no polish and he said he made them shiny, seriously? Last time it was not menu price listed and no explanation. Generally services are good, but it's just a poor business practice. Imagine them doing this to every customer $$$ cha ching to the salon.

I had my nails done with Kelly, she took her time and it came out very detailed. They came out perfectly and I highly recommend this place. Great customer service! Will be coming back again.
