NS Recycling Center, Upland CA

This is the fastest recycling center in the area; also the most convenient if you live on the north side of Claremont or Upland. As you enter the shopping center hang a left to head to the back of the stores. Workers were pleasant and helpful. In and out was quick.

Today was my first time at NS Recycling and I definitely will be going back, and highly recommend this recycling center.
There was a lady and a gentleman working. The lady greeted us immediately and brought over containers to our truck to start separating containers, also when she noticed the containers were full, she brought us over more. The place was clean and while we were separating our stuff, the lady walked around the area and swept up any debris from recyclers.
Once we got up to weigh the guy sorted our stuff and helped us dump any bottles with left over liquid. Mind you, most other places would immediately remove the bottles and add a fee, but they instead helped us, and placed the bottles back to be weighed. After everything was weighed we only had to print/sign a receipt, and we were on our way.
The overall experience and service was more superior than other local recycling centers, and they’re open later.

Been here a few times and seemed to get good prices. But when I came today, they absolutely shortchanged me. I came in with 20 to 30 pounds of glass, all of it was CRV, and they only paid me $2.80. Complete rip off.

This place closed at 4: 45 although online it says it's open til 5pm. The worker refused to help me and I had only a grocery bag worth of cans. I understand workers having to clean up and close out, but the hours posted are for hours OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. It's the same for grocery stores or ups stores. They post hrs open to public but the actual workers stay later to clean up, etc. The simple solution is to change the hours you post.

I just wouldn't go when they say they open. They aren't always there at 8. I'd go around 9 or afternoon. After 12 or 1 though. They take lunches so I'd say, between 9am to 12pm or 2pm to close are better "likely" times.

Love this place. Tiny mom n pop style operation with never more than 2 or 3 people in line. Much more comfortable experience than A-1. Found it by chance while stuck in construction traffic - not at all obvious from the street since it's off the Foothill business access road.

What a joke I got here at 3: 30 they're supposed to close at 4: 00 some tweaker lady with no teeth told me she ain't taking any more of that things happen never coming here again

I moved to upland about 1 year ago been recycling here since then best price’s I found good service very helpful workers, Thank you

This recycling plant is bad because the owner is being rude to his customers and ripping them off

This place is literally a hidden gem! It’s the only place I take my recycling. Staff have always been honest and pleasant to deal with. It’s just refreshing to have found a recycling place that pays correctly and isn’t trying to cheat you.

When people get there they have to use orange baskets to put their recyclebles in but be sure to separate each kind of recyclebles meaning plastic, Aluminum, and glass.

Very nice and helpful staff. The place is clean, organized, and uncrowded. Thank you for the service.

Small place, but easy, fast, and friendly! Seems like we got way more then we we did going to A-1, but I think A-1 just rips people off. Will definitely be coming back to NS Recycling!

It was my first time going to this recycling center and I must say I was very impressed by the workers knowledge and his patients he actually saved me money. I highly recommend this place over a-1 any day of the week

What a pleasant experience today! The young Hispanic guy was so patient in answering my questions about being paid for the CRV instead of by weight. He was even kind enough to explain that there’s more money in weighing my plastic bottles instead of by piece like my bottles and cans. Muchos gracias por ayudarme!
