My 24 year old granddaughter went to the ER for lung pain from some type of cold or virus and not only did they not COVID test her, but they shamed her for not testing before she went there and told her to stop by a drug store when she leaves and buy one to test herself with. Then they spent there time telling her they will not give her any narcotics over and over and she felt telling them she’s not asking for narcotics just maybe prednisone or something. They were rude inappropriate and gave horrifying treatment. They gave her an RX for antibiotics and told her not to use them for a few days to wait in case she feels like she’s dying and if she feels like she’s dying to gone back because dangerous things are going around.unacceptable treatment was given, or in this case NOT given and I strongly urge everyone to stay clear of this hospital as they have no patient care skills. If my granddaughter has any problems and gets any worse (she has asthma) I’m going to sue these folks out of business. My granddaughter doesn’t even drink alcohol let alone drug surf!

This hospital is absolutely horrible. We’ve lived in Oakdale for a year and have a mother that needs to go with her from time to time she’s pre-dementia due to a brain aneurysm. Every single time she has gone to this hospital, they would admit her we would call to follow up and honest to God they would tell us they don’t even know what she’s in there for they’ve taken MRIs of her head so that we can go to a neurologist. They said they lost the MRIs so the neurologist called him to follow up on the MRI and then they finally looked at it and discovered that she’s having another aneurysms. It just goes on and on and on very disappointed. I honestly don’t even have the time to sit here and type all of the flaws the rudeness, the disorganization, the Porcher, the non-follow ups, etc.they act like you’re doing you a favor by serving you.

This was the best hospital in the world when I worked there in the 1980s and early 1990s. Then an administrative change
occurred where the bottom line.profit.became paramount. Stealing patients from competing clinics or therapy centers became common place. Embezzling was tolerated at the administrative level. Actually, the entire for-profit medical system in America needs a major revision.

Made us wait for over 3 hours for precision error. If had been more serious, would have died

Was here for chest pain. In my experience, the nurses were kind to me and asked what was needed. The only negative thing was taking too long to get in and see a doctor.

I was taken into a room quickly it was a very short wait and the doctor knew exactly what to do to help me quickly. I was in extreme pain.

If I could give a 0 I would! One of my family member is here and they are very slow here and don’t seem to care. The charge nurse here or whatever she is, Is rude! All but one nurse has been very kind and up lifting! I pressed the call button because my grandma wanted water and she answered but rather then saying yes or in a second she just stays silent and hangs up the call! Mind you it was already 30 minutes after asking the first time which she didn’t get any water then ether! Most of the staff here have a attitude and are so rude and don’t know how to show empathy or compassion for people! It’s like your a bother to be a patient at this hospital it’s disgusting that they allow the staff to treat people this way! In total the only kind nurse was the therapist and the travel nurse!

This place is a mess! Been here with my child for close to 2 hours and has not even been taken back to triage. And it’s not even busy.
I went and asked receptionist what was the hold up…. Well, they forgot all about my child! Are you serious? !
Wake up Oak Valley!

I've went for myself complaining of heart pain and other symptoms. I told the Dr that my urine was extremely dark and it shouldn't be. He annoyingly decided to test my urine and discharged me for an "anxiety attack" 2 days later I received a call from the ER saying I need to come right now for an IV of antibiotics wouldn't tell me why. Come to find out I had a severe infection which cost me to loose my baby. The infection was attacking my heart. That DR discharged me without getting all the results. They are nothing more than an acute care. Drive to a real ER.

I have never been treated so poorly in my life. This is by far the worst hospital that I have ever been to. I was treated as though I was an imposition to them. Dr Cheryl Reeder was so rude and had no compassion towards me. If all of these people are so miserable at their job it’s time they look for a new job or retire. It’s not the patients fault they are so unhappy. Normally I go to DMC but the pain was so terrible that I went to the closest facility… I regretted it right away. I’m so ashamed and embarrassed that our community has such terrible health services. OAK VALLEY ER staff NEEDS TO BE FIRED!

I’ve been here countless times over the years because it’s the closest hospital to my house. When I came for myself, complaining of stomach pain and nausea, they never did further tests only prescribed me medication and sent me on my way. Finally after 10 or so trips, I went to Memorial and they found swelling in my colon.now recently I brought my daughter for fever and vomiting and they never did any tests other than regular vitals and proceeded to prescribe her with nausea medication and Tylenol and said she had a bug “that’s been going around” AFTER 4 HOURS OF WAITING. A couple days go by and she wasn’t getting any better, so we went to Doctors Medical and they did a simple urine test and found out she had a UTI. Oak Valley does the least, never looks into other options, simply prescribes medication, and sends people on their way, all while making people wait for hours.

This is the worst hospital in the 209 area. Especially the emergency room. You can be close to dying and they take forever to call you back. The doctors and nurses have no bedside manner and they have no compassion. I don't even understand why they chose that field. Honestly it's actually sad and disgusting the way they treat patients. Go to Memorial in Modesto if you can. Don't waste your money or your time at this place.

DO NOT GO HERE for anything above a splinter, they are literally inept and extremely rude as they lie and try to avoid being blamed for malpractice. The male triage nurse is THE worst person alone much less a hospital employee. Just an example: he called a name that no one in the waiting could hear because of his mask plus the heater was running loudly. As patients were looking at each other asking what he said he did look at me. I got up and said, "Sorry, did you say" my name? He turned around and walked as he said, "I said your name clearly, what else an I suppose to do"? I explained the heater was loud and hard to hear but he just ignored the issue. Upon asking me important questions he often cut me off to the next. I was later told I "withheld information" about possible food I ate that he failed to write down because again cutting me off. I can go on and on just on his extremely rude attitude but it would take too long. Then the E. R. Dr.was honest, she didn't know how to treat a simple FB Esophagus blockage and advised to go to Doctors Medical Center for treatment. However they wanted me to wait 7 additional hours for a transport and refused to discharge me. Per advisement of DMC, my own call Dr, and ambulance dispatch supervisor I signed out as AMA, just so I could get immed.treatment to be able to swallow again and quit vomiting. Then Oak Valley Ambulance personnel, Kenneth and William, arrived and were more rude than the triage nurse. They flat out refused to transport me even thou so many that early morning told us they would. So under medication (non-narcotic) and unable to swallow my own saliva I drove myself to DMC where I was treated successfully quickly with staff that knew exactly what to do and remedies to prevent it. I was home & resting and hour before the soonest I would've been transported by Oak Valley. I will say nearly all the Oak Valley Ambulance personnel we've met in the past have ALWAYS been great and friendly, we were shocked just how unprofessional and uncaring Kenneth and William were and in the wrong. Again, just drive a little further and get professional help by knowledgeable, friendly, caring staff at DMC.

This is the second time my sister who has COPD was taken here. She was given prescriptions and sent home. She was 911 to Memorial hospital the next day after going to Oak Valley both times! Substandard care! Don’t bother going here! Pretend hospital!
