13 UPDATED - after seeing this review, Oakland Kia reached out to me - and after a little bit of back-and-forth, and a little delay - they refunded me the money that I paid out of pocket. Bridget was kind & responsive. I will definitely go back & try them again when I need service.

Went onto their website to book my 8K maintenance, based on a Kia email telling me I needed it. I had 2 questions for them about the service, so I sent 2 different emails AND I used the chat function on their website (probably a bot), and no one ever got back to me. Really annoying.
I was trying to figure out if they would honor the prepaid maintenance contract I purchased (a few months ago at a different dealership). No reply, so I brought the car in anyway - since I had an appointment & wanted the service, and figured we'd work it out.
The service folks were nice, and did all the stuff they were supposed to do, but still never addressed this outstanding issue. I paid Kia money for these services, but Oakland Kia still charged me.
I sent a follow-up voice message AND a follow-up fax (for a written record), and still no one has gotten back to me. I went back onto their website & used the "contact me" form, and rather than address my issues, I got a text from a salesperson about purchasing a new car? !? I mean, come on folks! This isn't brain surgery, just reply to my messages.
Now I'll have to travel 25 miles to a different dealer for the next service I need, which sucks because these guys are so convenient.
I own a 2017 Kia Sportage. There have been a couple of Recalls and Oakland Kia assisted me in a professional and friendly manner (as opposed to San Leandro Kia/Hyundai who stated "you will have to wait 2 months" for an appointment). My Catalytic Converter was replaced at around 70,000 miles (in SL after 3 Check Engine Light issues that pointed to the fact that it was failing). Then Recall for New Engine; then had to Replace Transmission and Radiator. Basically a New vehicle now! Oakland Kia's Professional, Honest and Friendly staff are the reason I have my Vehicle cared for here.
Very fast service. The job itself took a few hours, but they gave me a complimentary Lyft home to wait.
I took my Kia Soul EV for the scheduled maintenance and while the service was timely, the price was unusually high, it used to be around 250 and this time over 400 while under the 100k miles with no repairs needed.
Car was making a weird noise so brought it to them to check. Very helpful and didn't gouge me, which is rare for dealership service centers
Poor experience with Marcus. No communication when my car was towed in, no timeline of completion. Oil change requested, but never done. It took 6 weeks to get my vehicle back! My car was stolen as part of the nationwide issue with KIA/Hyundai vehicles not being equipped with anti-theft engine immobilizers. I’ve had better experience with Albert and other associates at Oakland KIA, but steer clear of Marcus.
Great service, got me in and out for a service check quickly. Polite, proficient, professional.
I’ve been getting my 2018 Kia Soul serviced at Oakland Kia and they always do a win job. So far so good. If you take care of your car it will take care of you. I haven’t had any problems
I had some specific questions that weren't the usual, so the team had the head mechanic come out to address them. Thank you for the thoroughness! I had been given different information until that moment. Also, very accommodating to my rushed schedule.
Finally made an appointment after calling 3 times. I specifically told the person on the phone I was towing my car there. They said I would have to tow it out after the inspection, cool no problem. Arrive on the day of the appointment and told that they can’t take my car and won’t be able to for months? Some old guy I’m assuming the manager gets in my face asking who I spoke to saying he can’t take my car being so rude and disrespectful. No apology nothing. I would never buy another Kia with all the problems I’ve experienced with my car and this ridiculous company
My car had a recall that they were able to resolve the same day I brought it in. Martina is super sweet and helpful.
Awesome service! If you bought from the dealer first oil and tire rotation is free. Plus they’ll call a Lyft for you and free within a 10 mile radius to and from the shop.
