Oakland Kosher Foods - Serving the San Francisco Bay Area reviews
19Good selection of kosher food, and while shopping you can enjoy a hot sandwich from a variety of servings.
Good soda. Good snacks. What's not to like?
Everyone come here and support this local establishment.
Made three shopping trips for visiting family. Excellent selection of meats, dips, salads, breads and frozen items. Easy to shop and helpful staff.
2 hour drive to this place. Love the babaganush with tehina and the eggplant salad. Their hot food pastries are so yummy. So glad they have ingredients I can buy to make teimani food.
Had a great falafel sandwich today. The pita bread was soft and fluffy. Loaded with vegies. Yummy.
I always like to come here to get my Kosher sandwiches, my company only choose this establishment because of the high quality and the way they create sandwiches, this is just another level!
"Kosher = Twice the price with half the taste", some food in the older side of the building in the larger freezer cases was close to, or expired. Several large veal roast stored in the bottom of the freezer case appeared to be freezer burned.
Even though this is a specialized kosher food store, their prices seem to be on the high side. Almost nothing was marked with a price; you have to ask.there is serious lack of customer service.
However this store is one of few, that carries food prepared under the strict rules of kosher Orthodoxy items, that would be impossible to find at other markets, This is only a small part of what is sold. (only if you have to have that brand from Israel) The majority are brands and products, that carry a kosher label. However close inspection of the same brand/ item at a supermarket.you will find that it carries the same markings and is kosher. It's just a matter of reading the packaging. I only go there every so often to buy specialty candles for the high holy days, and a confection made from sesame seeds known as Halvah.
Line was long for take-out but then again these people do have a monopoly for kosher food around the East Bay. Food was nothing to write home about.
Great service and good chicken sandwich
Very good staff working there
I will take a picture of Maria also but she’s off lol
This spot clearly knows how to please their clients. Consistently with a kind demeanor. The food is affordably priced, always tasty and neat.
Basic sandwiches. Over priced. $20 for a pastrami sandwich "NYC" style, not even warmed meat. Certainly no Katz Deli. Can definitely get a better sandwich, slaw or potato salad from somewhere else. Slow service.
It would seem they've expanded into what was the old card store next door. Now, it's connected to a grocery section in addition to the deli counter with the refrigerated foods. I went in for candles that would fit the menorah for Hanukkah, they had them.
This place is absolutely amazing The double store and make a great deli I’m coming here about three or four times a week for lunch do some grocery all kosher friendly service great customer service OK price and amazing fool you guys are great
The BEST (seriously the absolute BEST) Roast Beef sandwich I have EVER had! What an unexpected and happy surprise to find this spot.
Took a friend there, first time for both of us. She was very pleased with the selection of Kosher foodstuffs. Not too big a deal, but a little confusing when it came to paying because the deli/sandwich shop was separated from the main store and we got misdirected.
This spot is worth visiting. They serve big portions for convenient rates. Consistently well kept and with excellent atmosphere. Will visit here again.
The place offers a fantastic range of delicious food. I enjoy dining here. Staff members are always welcoming, prices are fair and the spot is always clean.
I have always loved this place, and am so excited that they've expanded into a full NY deli and falafel/hummus bar. This is my favorite lunch spot in Oakland!
We have been doing curb side pickup. I call in the order, prepay and call when we arrive. Order is always accurate and they let me know in advance if out of an item. Great selection. Quality brands. I appreciate them working with us this way during the pandemic.
New larger space is great, and we like the home made pita and par baked challah.
