I do wish there was a little better communication. It would have been nice to know the trustee would ask us to pay back our tax return, before we had spent the tax return. This made it very difficult and frustrating trying to come up with a large sum of money when we were financially strapped.

My experience with Oaktree was confusing. They help secure my modification, but I was under the impression that they would not throw in the towel so fast. Perhaps I misunderstood, but I thought that once they reviewed my case and the history of the lender I was dealing with, that they would offer to do more. The first attorney, Justin? , seemed to understand that something was wrong and wanted to look deeper, but he was quickly removed. After the removal of Justin, the next attorney seemed more eager to close the case and move on. I am thankful that they helped me with the modification. The Oaktree reputation of standing up, doing more and helping fight if there is wrong, was not done on my behalf. If it was, then I retract this comment. Again, thanks for helping with mod, but I expected more.

I was in a real bind wage garnishment threatening calls, but Oak Treelaw help me through this kept my car my house and have a fresh start now.
