Apartment Complex Oasis reviews
5If you're going to school at KGI or the Claremont Colleges (or affiliated/working there), I DEFINITELY recommend Oasis! The staff is extremely professional, and the facilities are top notch. It's very well managed, and the manager Cristian was extremely professional when I had questions and wanted to move to a single unit. The gym and pool were especially nice, and a major reason I signed a lease! The rooms are new and mine was newly painted and maintained. The laundry is free and on every floor, which was great. Also, parking is easy and they have a shuttle to Pomona College. I'd usually just walk or bike, however, it's easier with a car. It's extremely close to various amenities and the area was always safe and guarded. The atmosphere was fun, with all kinds of activities going on. I would still live there; however, I went to graduate school at USC in Los Angeles so moved downtown.
Overall. Great living spaces, for being on-campus housing (compared to off-campus housing). Nice apartments (not dorms) with reasonable amenities and rent pricing (very fair). The staff is very efficient at fixing issues by apartments and for the community (Oasis) as a whole. Very satisfied. Thank you, Oasis staff.
The apartment complex overall is great! I've lived here for 1 1/2 years now and have only had a few issues in the unit which were quickly fixed. The train does come by often but you quickly get used to it over time it is pretty quiet at night. The front desk staff who work up front are so helpful Chris, Miguel, and Jane are rockstars! The only issue are some of the CA's most are lovely but two are very rude when talking to residents.
Maintenance & Reception teams - You are always there if any help or assistance is needed. Thank you!
If you are a Pomona undergrad and get a very late room you could be forced to live here. It is not convenient to campus- in fact it is a 25-30 minute walk depending how lucky you get with crosswalk lights. Campus has a shuttle but only comes on half hour/hour. You will be living next to families and children- not ideal college undergrad experience. The college used to have 2 room/ 2 people doubles but changed it this year to a 3 person double. If your in the double it’s super cramped- the beds are so close you can hold hands with your roommate. I’m fact, one of you will have to put your desk outside of room because it won’t fit. Seems like a fire hazard for room to be so cramped and not able to exit without carefully maneuvering around desk corner/bed. Still no hot water and there was a room that flooded causing standing water in rooms below. Hoping no mold issues come from it. You will have several keys to keep track of - fob/room/suite. And if you get locked out there’s no RA to let you in your room- instead you are fined.
