This is my favorite restaurant of all time and I’m a huge foodie! No joke though, I absolutely love this place. The wings are my favorite wings ever. I could eat 50 of them in one sitting! The sizzling fish is always perfect too. Such a unique dish. Their fried rices and noodle dishes are all solid too. Great beer list as well.

I don’t get the 5-star reviews about this place. Very confused.
Usually San Diego doesn’t let me down. This place let me down huge.

This review is based almost entirely on the food taste and quality.

Veggie pho with supposedly veggie broth was so salty, it was borderline inedible. I was starving so I ate it. The headache I currently have 6 hours later reminded me to do this review.

The sprouts and basil that usually accompanies pho was lackingh in portion to the point we asked for more twice. The basil was also not very fresh. Kind of brown and wilty.
The chicken pho was in a bowl 3 times the size of the veggie pho but was around the same price. WTH?
I was told the seafood pan fried noodles were way too salty as well.

Pros:
Found parking quickly
Staff was friendly
They have a patio
Good beer selections

Cons:
Veggie pho and pan fried noodles were way too salty.
Veggie pho portions were laughable.
Basil and sprouts portions were kid sized at best.
Unusually slow service (pandemic blah blah yeah, whatever) it’s still slow and inattentive service and the food was slow to come out. Restaurant was at about half or less capacity.

The food was good but not spectacular. I thought the Wings would have more "bite". A bit pricey considering what they are. The Korean BBQ and Egg Rolls were just OK.
The takeout service and timing were perfect.

Great food and a gazillion beers along with a variety of warm and cold saki. Pho and common Vietnamese & Korean entrees occupy one side of the menu and there are enough appetizers for you to make a nice table full of adventure.
Recommendation: spring rolls with peanut sauce and/or the lettuce wraps
Be prepared to wait a bit to be served and have your food come out at most mlm times of the day. And it can be very loud for some folks, though it has never bothered me all that much

Definitely a must try! I've been coming to the noodle house for about 3 years now with my fiance! We love this place! The food is great && reasonably priced for the large quantity! Drinks are amazing, you have to try the PB shots && their Sake!

The Pho, Spicy garlic wings, spring rolls, sake, I mean everything here is so amazingly fresh and delicious. Love this place! The other location is fantastic and also worth the wait. Great service. Noodle house is probably the best thing about OB besides the beach.

Anna was amazing waitress! If you come here and you’re lucky enough to have her serve you, you’re in for a treat. She’s super sweet, attentive, and remembered everything. On top of that the food was delicious. We ordered the #12 raw steak pho. I feel like it has been the best pho I’ve had in a really long time. We also had the mango sake to share and it was the perfect delight. I’d go back there again and again.
Until next time San Diego!

We went there thinking they had ramen because of a previous review. They don't, so we ordered flank pho. The flank was pieces of skin, not really meat, it wasn't very good. The server said that was flank, and offered to brink extra stake, what was nice. We also ordered chicken fried rice, it wasn't that great either. Good service. Extremely loud music with very bad sound quality, you can only hear the base. Not pleasant. If you are into places with millions of screens and very unpleasant music, you might like it. If you are there for the food, not so sure.

It was a nice place to stop by at we saw this place on triple d's and decided to try it out. I didn't know what to order and did not get any help from our server so I took a shot and my selection was ok. No complaints but a little expensive and no happy hour special on appetizers oh well.

Get the sizzling fish! I keep going back telling myself I’ll try something new but the sizzling fish is too good to pass up. I’ve also had their pork buns, which are amazing, but only available on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

So good. People complain about the parking and it being crowded.hello it's San Diego! House special fried rice, spicy garlic wings, and frid dumplings are where it's at!

We were a group of 7 who ordered 7 different dishes to share. Everyone enjoyed EVERY flavorful dish! They also have an impressive drink list including at least a dozen craft beers. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is for the filthy/dilapidated bathrooms.

We loved the pho and sake here and it’s so affordable! Make sure to ask about the sake because not all of it is listed on the menu. The pho was solid and the servers were fast and attentive! Outdoor seating is covered and has heaters.

The food is so delicious and addicting you wont want to stop eating. The wingsz the rice, the short ribs. Everything on the menu is delicious. Atmosphere and vibe are on point. Great drinks and ambiance as well

This street-side noodle house practically turns into a nightclub once the sun goes down! There was a 40-ish minute wait for seating, so we killed the time at a dive bar around the corner, returning when paged, and were seated in a covered booth on the curb out front. Our server was patient with us as our party gathered (I ran ahead to grab the table, while everyone else checked out), allowed us a few moments to sort through the menu, and took our drink and meal orders a few minutes later.

Continuing my trend of not being hungry for most of our trip, I stuck to having a cocktail and sampling whatever else the remainder of the table would order (and likely not finish, as they all eat like birds!). I didn't pay particular attention to what most of the rest of the table ordered: there was beef pho, teriyaki chicken over rice, edamame, and tofu & veg in broth.

Smiling faces were observed, conversation faded in favor of slurping sounds, and music pulsed and throbbed, increasing in volume, as the night went on. This place oozes atmosphere, and its no surprise its as popular as it is; it's a perfect fit for the types of people who live in, and visit OB. It's fun, it's lively, the food is excellent, and the service is incredible, especially considering the volume of customers they have to deal with. We left full, tipsy, happy, and ready to continue our party down on Newport Ave for several more hours!

I can't wait to return when I have an actual appetite, so I can dig into something that really speaks to my taste preferences, because if the dishes I sampled are any indicator, I am ready to be whisked away to Flavortown (ugh, did I just make a Guy Fieri reference? Yeah. I did).

I absolutely love OB Noodle. Their chilled flavored sake and chicken teriyaki keeps me coming back at least once a month. It's the best around.

Sadly, they recently raised their menu prices whilst delivering smaller portions, particularly the sake, so you have to buy twice as much. They also raised the appetizer dish of 12 wings to $17.

The picture I have uploaded was the size of the original bottles and now they are serving sake in containers half the size.

Just be prepared for the expense.

Get the garlic wings! They are fantastic. The Pho was super tasty, though the are a bit stingy with the basil and sprouts. They gave me more when I asked. Maybe I just like a lot of veg in my Pho?

I got the vegetarian egg noodles and my bf got the Korean beef wagyu, while he really enjoyed his meal I wasn’t a huge fan of the sauce in my noodles, a bit too sweet for my taste and the food wasn’t very warm.

I guess we may have gone on an off day. Service was good.food was so so. Spicy garlic chicken wings were either overcooked or sitting around for a while. They were not garlicky or very spicy.short ribs were ok.but nothing memorable. Chicken crispy noodles was also ok. The best thing we had was edamame and cantaloupe sake. We were seated half outside and half inside and flies were horrible, they would fly in our food and get stuck there. The waitress told us to cover our food with napkins. I saw this restaurant on Diners Driveins and dives and wamted to try itt.tI I think it was more of a dive. Would not recommend.
