Pub O'Brien's reviews
12This bar & grill not only has a great staff, but it also has one of the best beer on tap selections in San Diego. The food is very good too, they have daily specials from beef or chicken tortas, to burgers, spicy tuna sandwiches, almond salads, etc. Making it great for lunch, happy hour, or dinner. Servers Angela and Allie are the best!
Food and beer are great and the staff is cool. O’Brien’s has been real good for a long time.
One of the original craft beer bars in town and still going strong. Great beer selection and service in a true beer place.
Great beer if your into craft style. No light beer or big box brands on tap. Food is good but not great. Still better than just standard bar eats for sure.
Duck Tacos were fantastic and kicked like a horse. Environment was laid back and fun. Great food and good beer, what more could you ask for?
The best craft beer go to spot in all of San Diego. Killer food, amazing service by an amazing staff. They set the standard for craft beer/food. Period!
On yesterday, January 31st. I stopped by for the first time and really enjoyed myself. My server was the best I've had in a while. I felt welcomed.
Food was good, nice juicy burger. Everyone had a sense of humor. 10/10
(french fries could use a lil salt tho)
Good sports bar with comfort food - one of the well known hangouts in northern San Diego. By the name, you'd think it was an Irish pub, but their fare is more Californian with some regular bar staples like burgers and wings thrown in. Good selection of beer. This place is located in the corner of a decidedly asian restaurant strip mall in the unofficial "Japan/Korean town" section of San Diego, so it's a little unexpected, but you won't be disappointed.
Excellent and imaginative sandwiches, a wide variety of beers and ales, friendly servers. Prices are reasonable. It has become my favorite hamburger stop. It is the classic California version of neighborhood sports bar and informal eating place.
Definitely one of the more relaxed bars in the Covoy Area. Very laid back, with excellent rotating beer selection for a decent value. The food is quality bar food (hard to find these days) that isn't obscenely overpriced. If you're looking for a good deal for a casual bar in the Covoy Area, this is a great choice!
