Me and my wife love this place so much we ate at both stores a total of 3 times in 2 days.seafood here is good and price is reasonable. All the dishes we had, had a tonne of flavor. I would highly recommend. Don’t forget to try some drinks as well. Be careful though, even when the prices are good, you end up ordering up and spending quiet abit:)

We went there on Sunday night. Not expected lots of customers. Very nice service. Hot bar and salad bar are OK, same as other places.

Not lots of steak choices, however, compared to the price. That's why only 4 star is rated.

Man do I love Oc & Lau! And this one? Food is just as delish as the original. More spacious. No waiting. Attentive staff. DELICIOUS FOOD.

The bud and I got WAY too much food, but there were sooo many options! Sea bass hot pot, crawfish fried rice, fried fish spring roll, and the mango escargot squid salad? ! Definitely too much for two ppl, but well worth it.

Flavors were on point. Staff was on point. And their quickness in food delivery to the table? ! Unmatchable. Definitely gonna come back again (and again). 5 stars!

I meet friends in this great spot a lot! This is the best place to pass a nice evening. I visit this spot many times. The food is very good, the crew is courteous and the prices are decent. I like being in this restaurant to have a tasty dinner.

I'm practically a native to this asian populated area so I am fully aware of how the service is like around this area so it doesn't bother me. However, what does bother me is the level of rudeness and disrespect that not only I received but others did as well by the hostess. The servers were kind and helpful but the hostess who sits people down was deliberately rude and disrespectful not only to me but to others as well. We know it's busy but no need to be rude. I think her name is Vanessa. I have no problems waiting I was already expecting to wait but she kept giving me and others different responses in such an aggressive sassy tone. At one point, Vanessa said my table is being cleaned then 30min later she said we have to wait for the other people to leave before they can clean our table. Then she asked if my party was all here I said yes then she acted as if I was lying saying she only saw 7 of us. The restaurant is small so we were all spread out. On top of that their waitlist seems to be like a formality. Yes I know you can sign up on yelp and yes I kept an eye on their waitlist. They were calling people's names that were after mine. There were people who have big groups like me as well and were were seated before my party and we came 30min before them maybe her friends who knows. I think some customer service training is needed. This restaurant is one of the higher end restaurants so I expected a little better customer service than the usual. I would rate place a 2.5 instead of 2 out of 5 because I think their food is decent but it's pretty pricey with small portions. My first time here and I don't know if it'll be worth it to come back since their whole seating system is so disorganized on top of the hostess' bad service.

Great food, horrible service. I have been craving shellfish for awhile now but coming from Dallas, TX there aren't many good options for it, especially cooked in a vietnamese fashion. This place had ALL the great shellfish options, I mean look at the name of this place, it's literally called shellfish and hotpot. Anyway, I would've given it a 5-star rating butttttttt the service wasn't very great. It started off great, we were seated pretty quickly but when the food was served, the waiters didn't even try to put it in the center of the table. They would put it right in front of one of us even though we were eating. This food is obviously family styled, so it needs to go in the center of the table. Another thing with that got on my nerves at the beginning was when I was obviously doing something and they wanted to put the food right in front of me but they had the whole other side of the table to place the food down, I had to tell him to do it; they were lacking common sense. Something that was weird to me was that they want you to order at once, if you order an appetizer and want to order something afterwards they said it would take longer for it to get out. Weird. Also, they were out of razor clams, one of the main things I was craving.lame.

Services and foods are not as good as the original one. We came here because of beer and sake. If no need for alcohol we go to original one.

Most of the seafood is very good. Don't get the lobster though, it has no flavor. Waste of money on that. However the scallops, razor clams, mango salad, snail coconut, and snail were very good. I'd go back.

This spot is worth giving a shot. They serve big portions for convenient prices. Constantly clean and with great vibes. Would recommend to others.

Love this place. This is my favorite place to eat everytime I'm in southern California. Service is good, food is awesome.

The tax is extremely high, and there was a complementary dessert at the end, but they didn't give me any while other tables received this dessert.

So the main reason why I'm coming down to OC is because of Vietnamese food.i'm super Vietnamese - born in Vietnam, grew up in Vietnam, working here but will definitely come back to Vietnam. And I need Vietnamese food every week to survive. And everyone tells me Vietnamese food is the best in OC because the community is the biggest here. So my trip gotta finish with a high note - a snail restaurants. Stop reading if you're not eating snails *thanks guys* This is a real deal. They got all the snails dishes, just like the menu in vietnam. I can't believe it. For once, I thought I was not in the US. I went there on the day of new year eve when all of my friends are traveling, so I was 1 person, can't order much. But they did not skip that chance to surprise me: oc huong nuong tieu, so long nuong mo hanh, com xao tom cua. These 3 are my all-life favorites. And they taste just like in vietnam. Period. 5 easiest biggest stars. The only bad thing is I was driving, so I could not pair this with a beer. Dang!

Pro Tips: the queue can be pretty long, I went there at around 2.30pm but still gotta wait around 20 mins, so you better reserve your table on Yelp before heading there. It can spare your hangriness y'all!

The other location was closed so we decided to give this location a shot. Their food was alright, a bit on the sweet and greesy side. I may not come back to this location though.

I am only rating the food quality here since service is pretty standard for asian restaurant on a xmas eve where everyone showed up at the same time we did. I tried the trio escargot with 3 different sauces. My friend and I like it. It tasted like a chewy calamari. The glass noodle was good. It reminds me of the food I had back in my hometown, so it hits the spot. The salmon order was for the kids and they seem to enjoy it. The skin wasn't as crispy as the other OC Lau's. The beef over crispy rice cake was just okay, pretty standard.

Great tasty food only thing is they are way more expensive than other Vietnamese restaurant the area, but we keep coming back because my wife love it, check out that lady eating with both her legs on the chair ‍️. It's replaced old brodai restaurant.
