Ocean Sushi reviews
20Great neighborhood spot for sushi and drinks! Everything is delicious and the stuff is very friendly:) will definitely come back!
Found this place in Yelp and decided to drop by because reviews were good - they were true! American sushi rolls are fresh and tasty, loaded with toppings. Would come back if in LA again, amazing meal.
Such a great sushi restaurant with kind servers. Highly recommend this place to dine in or take out. Prices are fair especially for West Hollywood.
I enjoy the food at Ocean Sushi
The rolls are a great size and freshness and flavor.
Had an amazing date night at this low-key sushi spot in West Hollywood. It's a hidden gem with great prices and a super chill vibe. We tried their Nigori Sake Sampler – the flavors (lychee, coconut, matcha, strawberry) were so unique we had to snap a pic mid-sip because they tasted as good as they looked.
For food, we got the OMG Baby Roll, Sensual Pressure, and Spicy Salmon roll. Each roll was fresh, delicious, and had this awesome mix of flavors. Plus, I had my first-ever Matcha Lemonade here, and it was so refreshing!
The service was quick, and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. Perfect spot for a casual date night if you're in the area and craving sushi. Definitely coming back!
We came for happy hour, the price is exceptional for the quality of food. Food also came out really fast.
Really great sushi place in West Hollywood and decent prices as well. The service was great and they even offered my party a Russian roulette roll on the house! Was a fun surprise, I unfortunately got the spicy piece XD I ordered a salmon and albacore sushi (nigiri) and it came out fast and was delicious! 5/5 stars
The sushi was amazing and the servers/owner were really nice.
We went on Saturday night around 9pm so it was pretty quiet. I liked the neon decor and the spacious seating.
The sushi menu was pretty big with a lot of specialty and unique rolls. I got the angry tiger roll, it was both delicious and filling.
It’s really refreshing to visit a sushi restaurant where the crew is actively coming up with new concepts and experimenting with new flavours. The second roll we got was a specialty one called Russian roulette. Super fun to play
The rainbow roll was delicious. Also, the spicy tuna is really really good. The staff is super friendly. Will definitely go back.
Delicious chirashi and very friendly service. Amazing value! Definitely recommend and would come back again.
My boyfriend and I are sushi lovers, we tried a lot of different placed, raging from cheap to really expensive sushi, and I have to say OCEAN SUSHI QUICKLY BECAME OUR FAVORITE SPOT.
We order takeout often from there and the sushi always tastes FRESH AND DELICIOUS
The employees are very kind and friendly, and the sushi combinations are interesting yet well done!
My favorite is the Snake roll that comes with avocado and eel, and they also have one called Crazy Salmon roll that has thin slices of lemon on top of salmon to give it a very interesting and unique citrus touch. I absolutely love it!
Went for the happy hour and the food and customer service were amazing. Highly recommended!
I have no idea how this place has 4.9 stars at the moment, the sushi quality is awful! We’ve lived in California for nearly a decade and this is one of the worst qualities we have ever experienced.
We came at 6: 30pm on a Friday and it was empty, which should have indicated something to us but we thought, hey, maybe this is a hidden gem.
We got 2 rolls and 3 nigiri. The eel on the nigiri was over cooked and chewy, the rice was undercooked, the salmon belly should be buttery soft but was also chewy. One of our rolls came with asparagus inside when it wasn’t listed as an ingredient on the menu, and the other roll was so overstuffed with rice that there was barely room for fish and it was a mess falling apart.
In California overall the quality of fish should be better and it’s a bit shocking when you come across a place where the fish is not of a bare minimum caliber. Although I can appreciate the good service and a no-frills menu, this place has a lot left to be desired.
Really love this place, the sushi is really good especially for the price.theyve got a great selection of nigiri and the appetizers are delicious with great portions.staff is super friendly and service is really quick.
Delicious sushi and rolls. Great happy hour specials. Very good portions. One of my favorites for a local spot. After walking in once, I became a regular here.
This is by far the best sushi spot in Los Angeles. These chefs know exactly how to make rolls. Tonight I tried the happy tail roll and the salmon crunch roll. The fish is so fresh. The portions are large. The ambiance is casual. This place is a gem.
This sushi spot offers a laid-back atmosphere with diverse menu options. Each sushi roll boasts a generous portion, and the happy hour specials are the ultimate bargain.
The fish was really fresh and the prices were really reasonable. We’ll definitely be back soon!
Great food quality
reasonable price
friendly staffs
recommend Ocean roll, Happy tail roll and Tuna lover roll
The rolls and sushi were very fresh. We also ordered sashimi, they were fresh and very thick I think this establishment knows what they are offering and very good at it. I will come back to try more of their specialty rolls.
