How this place is still in business is beyond me. This place reminds me of a trap house staffed by questionable caricatures.

It’s dingy, the common areas are carpeted, it’s dark, and filthy. Their idea of a ‘luxury’ private room with king size bed was adjoining two queen size beds together. And they couldn’t even do that properly as there was nothing keeping them attached. Therefore you can fall right down the middle. Pathetic.

One staff member not only used expletives like a pirate but also managed to call me a Masshole (cause I’m from Massachusetts), only to then give me tips on how to tell good math from bad math!

Having driven 6 hours to this dump I thought it best to spend the night since it was already dark outside. But first thing in the morning bright and early I was out of there. Though they didn’t make it easy. They begged me to please stay even offering to walk my dogs. There I was thinking to myself, ‘I don’t trust you with MY well-being much less my dogs well-being’! And so I left and hightailed it back to my home.

I didn’t think a place like this could exist in Malibu, but what this taught me is that even in Malibu one has to do their due diligence in researching a facility. This is a ‘body broker’ type of place. If you don’t know what that is, Google it. Essentially it’s when they pay (in one form or another) for someone to use so they can bring them in and charge their health insurance. Alternatively it can also manifest as specifically seeking those in active addiction (regardless of their wanting to get sober or not) and paying/convincing them (one way or another) to come in; and as you may have already guessed: charge their health insurance.

A girl I know ended up getting touched by one of their employees. When it came to light, the owners discharged the girl rather than firing the guy. He’s still currently works in their billing department. I would definitely not recommend any females to go here.

If you’re looking for the highest quality treatment available, look no further. Oceanside is seriously what all treatment centers should aspire to be: a welcoming safe space full of loving kindness. Oceanside, unlike most programs, will actually care about you as an individual, and help you to self-actualize. This is the premier treatment center for those seeking a path toward long-term happiness and success.

Ocean side has helped change my life Mylow alone has made a difference in my daily life he is a remarkable person I can’t speak highly enough about, sober and happy relapse is out of the question, Tammy, Sarah, Greg, mylow, Dan and more people that you want to be surrounded by I could go on and on! Oceanside was such an amazing experience! From the staff to the facilitators even the owners my time couldn’t have been better. This is the best residential treatment center I've ever encountered. The staff there are the kind of people you'd dream of having to take care of your loved ones in their most desperate times. The accommodations are exceptional. It feels as if clients are staying in a hotel, but it also just feels like you're right at home. Excellent emotional support staff treat clients like family. I also love that they plan activities outside of the center so they aren't just cooped up all the time. I felt beyond safe and content knowing my younger brother was being taken care of here. I wanted to stay when I went to visit! Can't recommend highly enough.

Very caring makes you feel like you belong. There is always someone to talk to and they really care about your well being. The amenities are great, food is wonderful. Staff is the best I couldn’t have chose a better place to change my life.

It is impossible to adequately put into words the gratitude I have for the Oceanside Malibu Treatment Center. I believe Dave and Kathryn and the staff of the Oceanside “Family” possibly saved my daughter’s life. I know that it is because of their compassionate, commitment and professionalism to helping those with use disorder that my daughter is moving forward in her Recovery. Prior to Dave and Kathryn accepting her into their program I was living in fear that my beautiful daughter might be lost to me forever. Oceanside is not the first treatment program that my daughter has been to but it IS the first where she is finding a place of belonging in a Recovery Community with people who are teaching her to believe in herself again. She is being reminded that she is loved, that she is strong and resilient, a worthy person who deserves to live a sober life of purpose and joy. Yes, Oceanside IS a beautiful place in a natural setting that promotes peace and healing. But it is the genuine caring and teaching of meaningful hard work, and healthy life skills that I see as the core of their program. Dave, Kathryn and their staff not only help their clients to heal in body, mind and spirit- they also work to heal family relationships. I too, have benefitted from their program. Oceanside is helping my daughter to live a successful life that contributes to our world positively, responsibly and productively. It is my prayer that we will pay forward the blessings we have received at Oceanside.

I am so incredibly grateful for Oceanside Malibu detox and IOP programs, I can't even put it into words. This place made me feel at home immediately and has done everything possible to help me with my recovery. The houses are huge, very clean, and very comfortable. My favorite part of this program is the staff. They have all gone above and beyond to offer support and act as incredible models for what sobriety and recovery looks like. I can't tell you how much this program means to me. I am so grateful that I came here for help, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

I have had the pleasure of experiencing Oceanside Malibu on two occasions. First time was for 4 months last year and this year for 9 months of treatment. Very good people! They are professional and they care about your well being. They bend over backwards to accommodate you and your needs. I am very happy that I chose Oceanside Malibu! I am 250+ days sober now!
