Catfish nuggets.delicious. Fried snapper was good. This place is an order to go spot. Not a sit down and eat in restaurant. Will I go back next time I'm visiting LA? Absolutely. The only downside was they were out of potato salad. I would have liked to try that. My husband asked for macaroni salad and they gave him French fries.that wasn't a deal breaker though.

Wrong order and cool/cashier was not having a great day. I tried smiling and being cordial. He had nothing for me. Fish was ok didn’t get the shrimp in the combo I ordered and I wasn’t going back to ask him about it either. I support local business with business not reviews so we are clear.

THE CASHIER SAID 15/20 MIN WAIT. IT WAS ABOUT 25/30MIN. WE ORDERED TWO RED SNAPPER MEAL. 25.00 PLUS.
A LONG WAIT AND THE FOOD WAS BURNED/ VERY OVER COOKED. THE HUSH PUPPIES WERE VERY APARENTLY BURNED. THE POTATO SALAD WAS THE WRONG COLOR. IT WAS CLOSE TO BROWN. I DID NOT TRUST TO EAT IT. THE MAN WAS AN OLDER PERSON. HE CANNOT HANDLE. THE LOAD. THE FEMALE NEEDED ASSISTANCE. WHO IS THE OWNER?
THE OWNER NEEDS TO HIRE MORE HELP. HE /SHE NEEDS TO HIRE A BETTER COOK. THE FISH WAS FRIED INSIDE GREASE THAT IS DIRTY. THE TASTE WAS STAINED INTO THE FISH.
I WILL NOT PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS AGAIN. I WILL NOT ENCOURAGE OTHERS EITHER. I WAS HOPING THAT THIS WOULD BE A BETTER REPLACEMENT FROM THE PRIOR OWNERS. THEY ARE NOT BETTER COOKS. THEY HAVEN'T BEEN AT THIS LOCTION LONG AT ALL. THE RESIDENTS IN THIS AREA DESERVE BETTER.

Been here a few times.the salmon bites are good.catfish is good. Food could use less salt.love the homemade bbq sauce.they don't like to share the bbq sauce.maybe u should bottle it and sell it for profit if it's that serious.these ppl are not all that friendly or welcoming. Customer service need to tighten up its terrible and ghetto as hell!

1st time but it won't be my last. I brought 2 plates to go. Grilled Salmon with brown rice and Asparagus-i wanted greens but they ran out. 2nd plate was Fried Catfish potato and macaroni salad. The seasoning of the fish is delicious and it was fresh. My sister who is a cook loved the way the brown rice was prepared. It too was delicious. Off da Hook, fo' sure! I will be back.

Food good, small spot, but there are 2 tables if you want to eat in. Friendly, courteous service.

The food was great. Fish was on point crispy and flavorful. I ordered the rice, when I got the food, it looked different. Then I realized how they prepared the rice. It was good and I loved it. I'm writing to comment now because I just looked to see if they were open, but unfortunately, it's after hours. Haven't been in a few months. I was craving the fish and rice. Reading the comments, I feel like everyones taste buds are a little different and are used to the same old thing. Every business will not be the same as every other place. I like how they set themselves apart, preparing things. I was told to check them out and wasn't disappointed at all. The 2 people working the day I went was on point as well. I always wonder why my former manager road the bus from Hollywood to go the this fish spot and he lived in Silver Lake.
Today I found out why! OMG! OMG! Today was my first time ordering from Off Da Hook. And make no mistake it was absolutely DELICIOUS! If there is another word that you can think of that would be more meaningful than DELICIOUS, then please insert it! I ordered fried catfish, greens, and garlic rice. I thought that I would try a small pinch of the fish while driving back to work. Mistake, I ended up eating the whole piece. I almost pulled over to eat in my car. LOL! The fish was fresh and piping hot as I like my food. Once I was back at work I sat down and when I tried the greens my eyes rolled back in my head! Perfection! I usually don't eat rice but I decided to try the rice! Lord have mercy! EVERYTHING WAS "OFF DA HOOK"! I had to call to find out who made the greens because your greens taste better than mine (I'm from Louisiana) then there are no words to describe! I had to call back and tell them how I enjoyed everything and wanted to know WHO cooked the greens? The person who answered the phone thank me and ask me to tell the owner. I thanked him and asked "WHO COOKED THE GREENS? He responded his big sister! He thanked me and hoped that he had gained a new customer! HE HAS A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE AND I WILL BE TELLING ALL MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY! ALSO POSTING ON YELP! THANKS "OFF Da HOOK FISH HOUSE!

Best fish place to go to. Definitely will be coming back again for more of the mouth watering tasty fish.

Excellent service with a great selection for delicious seafood and sides. Well worth the drive from the IE.

Sooooo good. Had the oysters and fries and homie got the grilled salmon with rice. O my God sooo bomb.

Nice little place! One friendly guy working. Fast service! I had the fried catfish with fries and corn. The fish was very flavorful but could have been fried a tad bit longer! The fries and corn were yummy. I don’t usually go to super small places like this because there’s always risk of poor sanitation but it was clean and smelled good. I would go back.

My order was completely messed up. I ordered grilled snapper w/garlic rice. Received fried snapper w/French fries. Also ordered fried catfish w/French fries. Received the garlic rice with this order. The coleslaw was old and you could see that when you opened the container. Order grilled asparagus and it wasn’t worth eating. The garlic butter rice was nothing but brown rice with no flavor. When I called the restaurant the person was apologetic. Want ever patronize this establishment again.

Let’s just say my experience was not Off Da Hook. Mushy rice, season-less fish and shrimps was disappointing. I will not order from this restaurant again.

I just got fried snapper with garlic rice and why is there several silver metal shaving type object in rice.
Found not one but 2.
I spoke with Uber and the man stated it's probably a cleaning brush being I sent them photos.
