Off The Couch Games, Fremont CA

I came to play the first chapter with my friends. It was very interesting ~ but there were slamming doors and screams in some places, which made me a little scared. Come back next time!

This series of escape rooms at Off the Couch are absolutely wonderful. They are very well designed, highly thematic and immersive, with creative, multi-sensory, and no-cliche puzzles. The games have long time limits so we didn't feel the need to rush. There are a lot of spooky elements but everything is designed to be safe.

Played the Occam's Apartment escape room and boy was it an incredible experience. This room is head and shoulders above any other in the bay area for immersion and intensity. The room can get a little spooky and is not suitable for children - but highly highly recommend if you are a lover of thrillers or escape rooms in general.

Amazing! My husband I and I love this escape experience. The setup is well done, you become completely immersed in the storyline. Excellent work by the Off the Couch team.

Very very fun games. Great room/puzzle designs. Friendly staff. I especially love their system of stringing multiple games as a whole experience. Feels like we're in for something big.

One of the best escape room places I’ve seen. I’ve done over 40 escape rooms, and room 1 (apartment) is probably my 2nd favorite ever. Room 2 (art gallery) is top 5. This is a professional escape room, with some of the coolest technology I’ve seen. Our host, Adam, did a fantastic job, made us laugh and cry, and made this investigative escape room an amazing experience. The building itself is so unique and I can’t wait to see how the rest of the story progresses.

The best escape room experience I've done. Innovative puzzles, high production value, role-playing. I really want to go back and do more parts of the story.

Easily our favorite game of 2023; uniquely immersive — doesn’t feel like you’re in an escape room, which immediately causes you to rethink all previous escape room experiences and appreciate the level of care and design of this room.

This is a super immersive escape room. One of the best I have done. We've only done chapter one but it was amazing. The storyline is great and the puzzles are all complex but fun and not tedious. It was an amazing experience

One of the best escape room experiences in the Bay Area. My group of friends have played 30+ escape rooms up and down the west coast, and this one is definitely up there at the top!

As of July 2023, there are 3 acts (2-3 hours each) available for play, all part of a longer overarching storyline. The rooms and puzzles themselves are well thought out and high-quality, and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Can't wait for act 4 to open up!

Great escape room, played chapter 2 and chapter 3 in one setting and definitely can say this is one of the top escape rooms in the bay area. The storyline and the set were great, and the puzzles were very interesting. The staff were very friendly and enthusiastic. Highly recommended.

I have played five of the rooms by Off the Couch — 2 at the old Santa Clara location and 3 at the new Fremont location — and all of them have been incredibly designed and a fully immersive experience. They appeal to all your senses, they’re smart and clever, and many components are high tech. I love that you are interacting with actors frequently and that the hints they give will still make you feel smart.

Once you do one of these rooms, it will ruin all other escape rooms for you because nothing compares.

The booking model is unique — you only pay for the time you use. Another interesting thing is that the rooms are part of a 12-part series. Right now there are 3 rooms, so I am so excited to continue this story. This is quickly going to become a #1 attraction in Fremont.

Super fun! A little scary but that made it more thrilling! The fact that is a serie of games makes you want to finish them all!

The games were super creative and fun! All puzzles were impressively designed and thought through.overall very smooth! We played 2 episodes so far, and have absolutely no complaints! You can tell the owner is truly passionate about the design, the games are really his babies:) Wish more people know about this place. It deserves more recognition! Look forward to releasing more games in the future!
