I called Official Pest Prevention in Elk Grove regarding a noise on my roof. Naturally I was fearing the worst such as Rodents. A technician came out and looked around the house but did not inspect my roof where I heard the noise. He decided to set up traps and bait stations for potential Rats. Out of fear and all the horror stories this Company told me, I decided to sign up for a year contract. After 2 weeks I called them out to check the traps and bait boxes. No activity. Then after a month, still no activity. I called and emailed for several weeks for answers only to be pacified along the way with numerous excuses. I then asked to cancel my contract due to the fact the issue wasn’t properly investigated at the initial inspection and was based on a hunch. Do not use this Company, they are more interested in trapping you in a 1 year contract by using fear tactics. After I finally (after several phone calls and emails) got my contract canceled. They charged me another 146.00 on top of my initial 49.00. Once again, only caring about the money and not customer satisfaction. Don’t use this Company, choose one that will come out and find the true problem. Never sign a contract out of fear and protect yourself and your hard earned money. This was a very stressful experience. Turns out I had a squirrel on my roof for a couple days.

Sooo worth it. Had a pest problem that they addressed but they also took care of a bunch of other things like the spiders that are inside and outside. I checked out other companies but very happy I went with this company.

If you choose them, you'll be a fool take it from me, I'm telling you. The truth they're service is poor I have a duplex they took care of one side they said they could never get in to the other side of duplex but I don't know why the people were always home. They were elderly people, they end up charging me anyway l will be taking them to court Two years and still have rodents Please Don't use their service please don't

Year after year we have same issue with infestation of larvea worms in garage and driveway.litteraly thousands of them.i have called and spoken to so many people, ive lost track.all they say is "we'll get someone to come and spray". They come againa and again and again.ive been askong for them to identify the insect (which they cannot) and develop a plan to get rid of them for good, but this is now year three of dealing with this.im done spending an hour every morning sweeping and vacuuming up bugs that are very much alive (even after thr constant spraying).

Very poor service. Official Pest Prevention charged my credit card five days before they were scheduled to show up. I called twice to address the charge, cancel the appointment, and speak to a supervisor. The supervisor never seems to be available. The company has yet to confirm the appointment is canceled. They also haven't reversed the charge. DO NOT call them.

The worst! They've only cone out twice and did nothing! They didn't clean the spider webs they said they could guarantee the mosquitos would be gone but later after seeing that they were still around and thriving they then said " well it only works if they land in it" so no just pay the money to terminex

Dear All,
I was totally misguided on the phone at the time of signing up the service.
They come quarterly and charge $600 for the year. It means, $150/visit for them spending 30 minutes at your house. They will come in between if there is a problem.
Be careful, it is a one year contract, you can not cancel it. There are better deals out there and honest businesses who will disclose details upfront.

Be very wary of this company. I signed on because I was under the impression that I could cancel at any time. I called to do this Please stay away!
and they told me that I needed to provide them with a 30 day notice for cancellation. I requested that they consider this a 30 day notice. Two months later, they were still billing me for service I no longer needed. I called them today and they told me that they have a 1-year minimum contractual agreement.

Deceptive advertising, signed me up for annual contract under false pretenses and then do a rather superficial job on the perimeter. Would not release me when I aired my grievances, just kept transfering me to various folks and I ultimately resigned myself to paying until my year is up (but it still hurts to think about it). Not honorable.

The person who came out to service my home was very nice and they completed the whole place inside and out in a timely manner overall really good experience (will update in a couple months to explain if my pest problem has gotten better)

Update: —after about 6 months my pest problem (roaches) was completely resolved! Most the technicians came out and did exactly what I needed (there was one guy who didn’t spray inside but was inside my house for about 30 mins so that was a little suspicious)
—It’s kind of annoying that they schedule your appointment without contacting you until the day before your appointment and then the tech will show up that day even if you reschedule and only do outside and then your free second spray is used on the inside treatment
—overall I recommend this place some techs are really nice and do their job well others not so well but still are nice enough
—lost one star from my original review due to the fact that they schedule appointments without contacting me until the day before and I’ve told them multiple times to call me/text me at least a week before and they still don’t do that

Whatever you do stay away from this company. They are frauds! Money hungry. They do absolutely nothing. Please please please make sure you DO NOT give them your debit card or credit information! If you must pay cash. But with that being said they do not help or fix the issue. I believe I just had a bad experience but there is better out there research.

They claim that they have you on contract. Their contract is a
Mere agreement that you agree on paying them. Which I wouldn’t do if they are not doing any services.
They believe that I was going to pay monthly and they only do treatment every 2 months nope. Only thing was they came to change rat traps. I am not going pay 58$ to change and replace a couple rat traps sorry.

The first initial visit was great they did detail spraying checking out everything. Which amounted to about an hour.

After that the service the technician came for only 20 minutes.

When you call to cancel. Ooo you have a contract and have to pay the remaining balance. I did not such thing.

They claim they will send you to collections. Not true unless they have payment information such as a debit card, credit, and or check. Other than they cannot send you to collections with just your name address and other things. They would require a lot more personal information to send you to collections.

STAND YOUR GROUND WITH THEM.

To this day they still email me saying my account past due. But they will never get another dime out me!

I called to request for an inspection, Trent came out and did a good job with the Inspection. My experience after that was horrible, unprofessional, and a waste of my time. I had to be rescheduled twice (company's fault). The first time, the day of my actual service, the guy that came immediately rubbed me the wrong way. Asked me what did I need to have done when he arrived. That was the first red flag. Secondly, he advised that he wouldnt be going into my attic, which i never asked him to do. Since he came unprepared to complete the requested service, i had to be rescheduled. I asked for a Saturday appt, Alexandria (manager and customer service person on the phone) agreed, said she could accommodate since I was already having a bad experience. Once Friday came, Alexandria called me to advise that they had a emergency and was unable to accommodate the already rescheduled appt for Saturday. Meaning, we'd have to reschedule again. Although I rescheduled, I started my quest to look for a different company because I was not pleased with the experience thus far. I kept the appt with OPP but I was never offered anything to keep my business. No discount, compensation toward the $1,543.00 fee for the service, nothing at all. I will never use them in the future, nor will I recommend them to anyone I know. My experience was absolutely terrible!

I have been a customer for 6 years. I understand that there will be a price increase.but the company should notify the customer ahead of time. This has happened twice in a little over a year. As of today, I am no longer a customer. Hint for the company, brush up on your customer service skills.

I trust the staff and as far as bug extermination, excellent. If you have dogs, cats be careful. One of my dogs vomited 24 hours after spraying. He was very sick for about 2 hours. Yes, I waited for it to dry but its rainy season. I also cleaned paws. The next time it rained, the poison was reactivated and within 24 hours, 2 weeks later, he was sick again. I won't have them spray in the back again to keep him safe. My other two pets were okay.

I had Orkin and OPP both do rat inspections for my attic and house perimeter, and most heavy rat activity was in attic. Orkin screened off 2 air vents in attic and called it good. OPP inspection on the other hand spotted 2 more missed air vents, 2 holes in cement foundation, both crawl spaces doors had gaps, and deep under the deck was another gap in foundation. They even inspected my detached garage. OPP was very thorough and I look forward to my pest problems being under control with them. Had Timothy come out to do exclusions including crawlspace door sealment. Later i found crawlspace door still had gap after they sealed it so i called it in, few days later Timothy came out and fixed it as part of 1yr warranty with their subscribed monthly service. They are worth the price!

While removing a steeping tub found evidence of dry rot and termites. Called for an inspection, and a followup prevention treatment. They did a bang up job treating my entire home footprint. Three months and counting i haven't seen any creepy crawlers around, except for a couple of spiders. Great job.
