Olander Company, Inc, Sunnyvale CA

Very helpful people, no pretension, and a greater variety of items than you could ever imagine would fit in that space. They choose carefully what to carry, and they know their customer base. I consider myself lucky to live near Olander Company, Inc; it's one of the many reasons I love so much living in the Inner Sunset.

Usually I wait here 10-15 minutes before talking to someone and that is for 2-3 people in front of me.then even a simple one item transactions takes ~10 min.
It helps if you call but they are still way to slow.

I had a problem with finding an STI tap for a large helicoil. It was a 12 week lead time. The Olander company had them made ahead of time and were on the shelf. Not only that but their staff was very helpful with all my questions. Maybe the most cooperative company I have ever worked with.

I had this really odd bolt that needed a nut to go with and after visiting other regular hardware stores with no success, someone suggested Olander's. The woman at the counter did all the searching for me and since it was just a simple nut, she gave it to me for free, even threw in a lock washer. Very nice and pleasant experience. There were plenty of people at the counter and everyone was very attentive.

I needed a few thousand small washers on short notice for M3 screw. They showed me the different sizes they had and were very reasonable priced (pennies per washer for 1000 or so units). Awesome experience with helpful people!

The best place in the SF bay area for fasteners. Too bad no aircraft types.

Super helpful staff! Great selection of leatherman tools, specialty pliers, drill bits, wrenches and allen wrenches. I'll definitely see if they have what I need before heading to Home Depot.
