Old Gyumri Restaurant reviews
12I'd give them 0 stars if I could.horrible service, cold food, not to talk about the must which we asked to be switched due to our birthday party and they refused. Most importantly they are RACISTS big time! Stay away
From what I saw, it a high class 5 stars restaurant & bar, I highly recommended, I hear the food is superb. 5 stars
We came with kids to enjoy family time and test Armenian food, but couldn’t. People smoke inside main eating area. French fries taste like two days old. Customer service was terrible. Greatly overpriced.
Very authentic and cheerful. Would love to come back. I would like to send my special appreciation to Milena who served us.
I came here, and there was no other customer. I waited 30 minutes and nobody came to take my order. The staff just passes by and makes no effort to take your order. How are they still in business? Mystery. I did not get to try anything. I walked out.
Wonderful Place, food was amazing, Service is 10/10, environment is very calm. All in all wonderful place would recommend people to celebrate occasions here.
People smoke inside main eating area. French fries taste like two days old. Ordered sturgeon, taste was horrible. Greatly overpriced.
Khash quality was same as my father cookes.
To me it was the best.
Thanks to waiters for prompt service.
Do not come here. Some shady stuff is going on with the prices. The price you see on the menu will not be the same as what you'll get in the bill! A $70 bottle of wine turned into a $100 (and the excuse was "sorry, there was a mistake in price. " although we confirmed before ordering that is was $70). Some items turned into 2 items and charged separately. Also, a mysterious "$50 mf" appears on the bill - servers didn't know what that was until someone finally came up with an idea and said it was "music fee". No one told us about that when we called and made a reservation, no one said anything when we got there. I would never pay $50 to whoever tried to sing there. It's a restaurant, people come to relax or celebrate an occasion not a funeral home. All songs were about sad life and getting old (if only he could sing that would made it a bit better.maybe). Food came cold, they brought wrong items multiple times and tried to tell us we were at fault. 5 people, 1 bottle of wine - $550 (no desserts).
I will never go there again and will let everyone I know not to go there. If you are reading this review and considering this place, do not go there.
On Monday, it is clear that either the restaurants are closed or the minimum number of people are working. The result - the waiters did not have time to serve. The chicken kebab was pure scrambled eggs, but the lamb was very tasty. They asked us to turn on the burner, but due to the lack of personnel (who apparently should deal with this), we ourselves were engaged and tinkering with the cylinder. There was no gas inside. True, after 30 minutes, we still turned on another one. The musicians started playing an hour after our arrival.
After paying, we went to pick up the car keys, they asked for $ 13 for the car, although I myself parked the car in an empty parking lot, and they just took the keys from me, and my friend was parked stupidly on the street, at the curb, 5 meters from the valet desk, for which They took money from him, it is also not clear.
The best thing is that when we almost left, the waitress ran out and said that they "forgot" to charge us $ 50 for the musicians.not weak, given that they played 40 minutes from the entire time that we were there, and we did not order anything.and they themselves admitted that we were not warned about this. I understand that they decided at random to try to steal money, but this is nonsense, of course, if you think that Monday is the deadliest day for a restaurant and the musicians will not work for tips from tables that are not there. A shame. It was worth coming here to understand that it is no longer worth it.
Do not recommend at all. We called to make a reservation, and nobody cared to tell us in advance all details. So when we came to parking lot the guy at the valley parking did not offer an option to park at street so we don't have to pay. Straight ahead he said we need to park your car and even after that still we were sure that nobody is going to charge for parking because we almost were parked.
Next the service, it was cold and they didn't offer us to turn on the heater until we asked. The heater wasn't working. They said we have to try to turn it on ourselves. We couldn't turn it on too. We ordered food, it came out pretty fast. We didn't wait a long time. Chicken kabob was not from chicken meat, we tasted only eggs.
At the end when we were leaving and we were sitting in the car, the server came to us and said that they forgot to tell us about extra 50$ for live music. It was ridiculous. We were leaving, nobody said even a word for that at the beginning.
Very disappointed.
Horrible place to go. Overpriced for not good quality food a few plates was charged twice. Check your bill. Hot food was cold, burned. For 3 adults and 2 children was charged $580, no alcohol. Overpriced for cheap restaurant, fast food. Would not recommend
