Old Point Loma Lighthouse reviews
19Nice place to learn about the Lighthouse and some history of San Diego. Great views of the city too.
I bought a national park annual pass and came in. It's a very comfortable place that simulates the living environment of the former tower keepers.
The old Point Loma Lighthouse is well preserved. You can also clearly see the history and changes of the lighthouse.
It's a cool place to visit! The entrance to the park is $20 for the general public, you can walk around and have beautiful views of San Diego and if the day is clear enough, you can even see Tijuana in Mexico!
Point Loma is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen, and I stay out here every time I come to San Diego. The old point loma lighthouse is a cool little visit.
One of our favorite places to visit, when in San Diego. Easy access and plenty of helpful Park Service personnel. Cool breezes and lovely tide pools.
Great views and wonderful breeze. Sunday was busy but not too crowded. Going up in the Light House was a little anti-climactic because the top of the stairs is latched shut and there's not a lot of space. However the museum is very fascinating. Great use of my national parks pass card.
Great half day trip to see an old light house and the Carbrillo monument. Go at low tide so you can also see the tide pools.
Absolutely stunning place! A very unique view of San Diego. Beautiful hikes are available and stunning untouched views, getting a glance of how it used to look. Highly recommend
The view is spectacular. It was under renovation, so the gift shop was closed. I was able to enter for free because I had a military person with me which gained free access
Great little lighthouse museum. Couldn't go all the way to the top but you could see all the rooms set up as if it was in use.
Our day here wasn't planned. We just went. Clouds rolled in and made Coronado and downtown hard to see. I've been here before prior. View has always been very memorable. Good place to take the family. Light house is nice also
Beautiful scenery, and surroundings. The museum inside lighthouse is very nice. They have bathrooms on site and great place to view the ocean and history.
We had a blast visiting the Old Point Loma Lighthouse. Definitely a fun place to see the tide pools and get educated on the Lighthouse. We actually went on a day where it was free. Totally a fun spot with breath taking sights and views.
Cabrillo National Park was extremely beautiful with fantastic views. The mountain views, the ocean views, and San Diego city views were incredible.
Great lighthouse - couldn't go inside when we were there, but had a good exhibit in the assistant lighthouse keepers cottage next door. Really enjoyed the visit.
Very nice place, with the entrance ticket you can use it for 7 days. In case you want to return. The lighthouse is very beautiful, a small museum, with a bathroom and very well indicated.
You can walk well throughout the area to the other museum.
Beautiful view and very interesting history of the settlers who came to California on the ship.
It was the best place. I enjoy the history of the light house. The info was very well put together The info
Worth the drive. Really nice lighthouse you can walk into. Store staff aren't that friendly or welcoming, but the restrooms are clean. Good place to watch ships enter and leave the naval base. It's a national park, so the annual pass works here. Not sure it's worth paying the standalone price because it's pretty small. It was not busy on a weekend.
