Old Town Coffee & Chocolates reviews
11I ordered a cake for a birthday party & it was incredible! Got the kahlua mud pie cake & everyone loved it. Ordering was easy over the phone & pickup was just as easy. The script on the cake was also beautiful. Will definitely be ordering here anytime a cake is needed.
They need to put more coffee in the coffee. Follow the SCA standards of coffee to water ratio instead of letting random employees take a guess at it.
I usually love coming in to this local coffee shop, but after witnessing, who I assume to be the owner, berating the sweetest barista over a delivery? You can bet your coffee money I won’t be coming back! Super disappointed in the quality of work this woman is promoting. The quality of the coffee has gone down, the price has gone up, and I’ve honestly had better experiences at a Denny’s since the new owners have taken over!
The new owners are TERRIBLE. I miss the old owners. Back when this place had actual coffee on their shelves. The new owners have crowded the place with overpriced garbage like stickers and candles. There’s never coffee on the shelves anymore. The hours for both locations have changed. You can’t buy coffee online anymore. They really ruined this place.
We came here for coffee for our group on 6/29 around 8: 00am. One of our group is sensitive to caffeine, and they had just ran out of decaf espresso. But they offered to grind some fresh decaf French roast for her instead. Her drink turned out delicious! The staff went above and beyond to take care of us. They were very warm and welcoming. We had a great experience and left with delicious drinks! My Mexican mocha was the best I’ve ever had.
Had a special birthday cake made for me last year there they did such a great job on the cake. I highly recommend getting a cake done through them. I was so happy with the birthday cake.
Drink Temps were all inconsistent. My drink didn't taste like the right type of drink i requested but was still decent.
Such a cool place to grab a coffee and a snack. I loved my iced coffee, but kinda regret not the Betty White special.
I love the convenience of this location. Right in Henderson Center, easy to walk to or stop by before work. Sometimes I call my coffee in and they will have it waiting, that is always super nice on busy days. The bagels for me have a lot of cream cheese but I just wipe it off, no biggie. The coffee is always very good. Sometimes they have specials on the boards, such as soup or sandwiches. Friendly service.
This place isn’t very good but you sure wouldn’t be able to tell from the prices. Everything tastes like they found it behind the Costco but at least it’s dirty and the staff is rude.
Maybe the cakes, truffles and smoothies are good.but getting a straight cup of coffee, such as a light roast with half and half is absolutely terrible. I have given this coffee shop 5 visits before deciding to write this review, and yes, I live in Eureka and not a tourist.truthfully, even the staff are just average, a few have nice personalities, while a few others do not.like any place of business.chocolates, pastries and cakes are all very delicious, no complaint there.but the brewed coffee is horrible. I have received this cold, sometimes a teardrop of half and half, and once even the half and half was curdled.and then trying to let them know this is like you just shook or shocked their world.go there for everything but the brewed coffee.in fact, gas station coffee is better.
