Old Venice Restaurant reviews
17Beautiful restaurant with amazing food. This was our first time back since our wedding reception 3 years ago and it was just as good as we remembered. The walnut gorgonzola salad was almost as amazing as my fillet and shrimp
Menu is always impressive and service has been great lately. This place has a very local vibe that's cool.
What a cute place this is. Staff was so kind, and the food was delicious. It was a little overpriced, imo, and for whatever reason, they didn't cut their garlic bread. It is literally a loaf that you have to cut up and crumbs go everywhere, still delicious, but not my favorite part of the experience. I will return because those meatballs were so tasty!
Excellent food & great customer service! Thank you, Mike for all the wonderful hospitality!
We have not been to this restaurant for over a year and we were really looking forward to it.
Let me just say the food was mostly great. My seafood linguine was delicious and husband’s dish was delicious. The Caesar salad was very tasty and crispy cold, but it was very pale green lettuce. The look was not pleasing to one’s eyes.
It was the waiter who never came back to our table to see if we were OK with our meal. Our dinner got dropped off by a bus girl and no fresh pepper or fresh parmesan was asked. I flagged down another waiter, and he just glared at me and went to the kitchen. He was not pleased that I asked him for fresh pepper. Then the same bus girl came by our table and literally slammed down the pepper on the table. When the waiter finally came to the table to take our plates he asked us if we want a dessert. All he said was “ So, do you want some dessert? ” The whole experience was not nice or relaxing. I hardly eat out and when I do I expect to be served like I am not bothering them. We won’t be back.
I picked up fettuccini bolognese to go at the time I was told, and it was burned black on the bottom and dry. So not good for half the price. Bread is wonderful.
Every meal I've eaten there has exceeded my expectations. The staff were very attentive and knowledgeable of their menus and appeared to truly enjoy their jobs.
The steamed mussel broth should be sold as soup. It's that good. You can have it spicy with extra garlic. Excellent.
So cute but food was so gross:/ i regret choosing to eat here bc i saw other reviews warning me of that
I been going here for I Wana say 20 or so years and it only gets better the food is fire drinks on point and staff is friendly and attentive the owner Cathy is one of the nicest people and she has incredible taste for decorating garlic bread from the moment u sit down and it's next level good pizza is easy the best in SD or all of soCal don't take it from me go see for ur self or if ur in south park check out Alexander's I believe it is in the same restaurant family with out a doubt old Venice is the best italian food in the city.
Amazingly good Italian food in a beautiful building. We had the garlic bulb with baked brie (to die for, though very slow to come out), filet &shrimp, and the lemon chicken piccata. Good sangria and the Malbec was really good too. Will definitely go back!
Wow. Wow. Wow. Worst service ever. The staff was horribly rude. We have been dining here for many years and I will never come again. The service was awful, the waiter was sooooo rude, one of the rudest waiters I have ever experienced in my life.
Old world style decor, Italian dining, delicious fresh salad~ pizza and toppings- 100% delicious- piano musician.special occasions will be favorably remembered.
Just some late dessert. Staff was more than courteous seeing how it was near closing, I was alone, and just wanted dessert.
5h3 food was excellent and the portions are generous. I got the Le Regina which is a seafood mix with black linguini. It was full of sea food and favorable. One of our dinnermates got thr Australian lamb which he said was excellently. Our waiter wasn't high on the personality scale, but he got our order out and correct.
Would highly recommend, haven't had dinner there in many years, hasn't changed. Food is great, service was prompt. Prices are very reasonable.
