Olive Garden Italian Restaurant reviews
18 We didn't really get to eat here. I hadn't been to this location in a long time but I could see it was mismanaged. We came in at 4pm before the dinner rush with a 5 adults and 2 children. We were told 25-30 min. 45 min later we ask for an update. 13 more minutes. Yes that was there exact answer lol. 20 min later my father on law wants a manager. The rest of us just want to leave and eat somewhere else but hes mad. My kids are young and they were behaving amazingly but their patience was waning. Manager says they are about to seat us and then berates the hostess in front of us which is so degrading and rude. We leave. ANOTHER 10-15 min later when we are at a different restaurant.my husband's phone dings that it's our turn to be seated.
It was not busy at all when we got there and it was packed an hour and a half later when we left. It was really ridiculous.
It's the OG. Very good food and variety. Some say it's not "true" Italian food. I agree, but that doesn't make it bad. Starting off with bread sticks (yum) and soup or salad, followed by a great main, and then some dessert. Service is usually excellent. Our server, Mariah, was especially attentive. If there's a downside to the OG, I'd say it's in the dessert area. But who has room for dessert? ! I've never been left hungry after eating at the OG.
Passing through decided I wanted watermelon sangria and dinner for the room I was heading to stay for the night. I walked to the bar to place my to go order. Everyone was so busy no one noticed. A server came through looking busy but asks how can I help you. That was kind of her, she then took my order and Serena helped her and made sure my idea was correct and brought it to my car. Excellent service. Didn't eat much of my food but the watermelon sangria, fabulous.
Thank you ladies.
Food was great as usual. I have NO idea why, but our server was unfriendly and dismissive. Our request for a water refill, a salsa refill, and we wanted some $5 take home dinners. It was as if our server didn't want to even hear what we wanted. It was like we were bothering the server. At the same time, our server was familiar with the table behind us, and was very friendly with that table. It was so obvious, but my wife and I have NO idea why? !? !
Always enjoy olive garden dinning in or take out.food is delicious service is great.would recommend.
I had all you can eat salad and soup. It was more than enough. Very good. We ate at the Olive Garden in Santa Maria.
Entrees keep shrinking, order extra sauce (even though it's probably not even 1/2 cup for $4.99). I wish the salads had more of the non-lettuce goodies personally. Bread sticks the last three orders seemed like they were yesterday's. You'd be far better off eating in. Or try Trattoria Uliveto in Orcutt or Gina's in old town Arroyo Grande
Salad was okay and the soup but I ordered the chicken marsala and it was the worst chicken marsala I have ever had the chicken was overcooked and it was supposed to have mushrooms it had some tiny little burnt mushrooms about five of them the sauce was nonexistent when it was served with alfredo noodles and even the Alfredo sauce was terrible my sister had tortellini and couldn't eat it because of the Alfredo sauce and found chicken fact with her chicken which turned her off we couldn't get the drinks we want it and the desserts we want it they didn't have I won't be going back the waitress was nice she took stuff off of our bill which was nice since we couldn't eat what they brought us
Gustavo was so good to us. He was so funny and quick and amazing and so knowledgeable about the menu. Had such a great time! And the food was so good!
This place makes me feel Italian. I love going with the family or just my wife and I. We sit at the bar and try some of their wines while trying to figure out what to eat. Can I try the Chardonnay please and maybe that new Merlot you just came out with. Next thing you know there is a bowl of pasta in front of you, or a tour of Italy. The salad comes family style and if you want extra fresh parmesan cheese, just tell them, when. (Tell me when).
For the last year I've been trying to get my fix at olive garden but the service is terrible. We like to sit at the bar and socialize with people and staff. We cant sit at bar so when I call and ask for bar seating they say yes come in. We get there and bar is closed. This has happened a few times and now they went from 4 stars to 2. Please open up so we can have the atmosphere that we want. We are not going just for food, we are going for the experience.
Nothing major, we had some issues with food an appetizer arriving by the time the rest of my party was paying and already leaving
My wife left to pick her order 10 minutes before the time it said it was supposed to be ready but it’s been over an hour since she checked in and they still haven’t gave her her food.
I stopped here for lunch right when it opened. The restuarant was clean and the wait staff was ready. The food was timely, good, and we had a excellent server her name was Baylee. I ate here 25 years ago when I lived up there and it was a great experience then.
Been there numerous times around 1996. Great childhood memories. Relocated to NJ in 1999. Glad that this Olive Garden is still around ~25 years after my visits (my local Olive Garden in NJ closed down)
Order says it was picked up at 6: 45 it is now 7: 06 and I’ve been waiting in the parking lot for 45 minutes. I go inside and ask about my order and she tells me “the update means we are packaging the order”. How does this mean packaging the order? Wouldn’t it just say being packaged then? It looks to me like they are trying to make there service times look better but not following proper procedures. I’m still sitting here waiting inconvenienced. There is about 4 people working the host stand and not really slammed for dinner yet. Very sad to see how service is not taken seriously here. Zero stars if I could.
This Olive Garden is about an hour away but I ordered out on my way home from an event. The meal was fine when I got home, and the leftovers were pretty good days later. Ordered extra breadsticks this time!
Their curbside pick up needs some serious training. 3x in a row they stay messing up orders. Is it really that hard to get an order right and when they say get there at certain time doesn't mean to leave customers waiting linger than 15min. Management was nice and respectful only thing they got going for them.
Dirty! Always out of something! I was looking forward to breadsticks but what do you know … no breadsticks! I knew I should’ve went to SLO….
