Ono Hawaiian BBQ, Van Nuys CA

Went to the store and place the order two mini hawaiian bbq chicken during a busy time. It's understandable that it will take time to get my order.
The annoying part is the people that order after me got their orders before me. It's not just one order, three orders was done before mine. Those prior orders are not phone orders mind you. And my order is a simple Mini Hawaiian Bbq Chicken. So yeah, i'll just a phone order next time.
If i didn't have an order from someone else, i would have definitely refused the order and gotten a refund.

Food is delicious but please turn down the loud Mexican music that’s played by the employees in the kitchen supposed to be a Hawaiian cultural restaurant

My wife took her mom here while I was dropping off her car across the street at Costco for a tire change. When we first arrived here, they were not busy so we were able to order. We went with the grill chicken breast plate. The order took a while to be made since they are making it fresh so my wife went outside to sit since they were cold inside. I went to use the restroom and it requires a key to get in. After I got out and returned the keys, the food was ready. My wife and her mom really like the chicken breast and macaroni that came with it. The employees were polite when I asked for a side plate and asked if I needed anything else.

The sliced meat is hit or miss! Fist visit it was great. 2nd 3rd visit the meat had so much fat I had to throw it in the trash. I believe they know what they served and would expect a little more consistency in the overall quality of meat. Which I don't see here so I won't be back unfortunately. I'd fix the problem or continue to loose loyal customers.

The food was very tasty as always, but I had to wait too long for just one plate of food, which is the reason why I only give it 4 stars

They just forgot to make my food it was just simple spam masubi only 2
And 3 ppl came in after me like 5-10 mins after then all got there plates before me and I had to go up and ask for my food to remind them to make it! And they said it takes a while to make it! And didn’t have the common courtesy to at least say sorry it’s taken so long but rather lie to my face that it takes a while as I see her ask there cook n had him a paper! When they finally give me my food they wouldn’t even look at me in the eyes or anything just hands me the food as they talk on the phone.

Such great deals, especially when they have specials. They aren't cheap, but their portions are huge.

They're always busy but the service is fast and the staff is always nice. The food is awesome

The food and service is always good. Sometimes you get more meat than others. Today it was less.

Well here we go. Again I would hate to sway anyone away from any business in these uncertain times and instability in our economy.but sometimes I have to voice my opinion either for an excellent or not so excellent experience! Here is a situation where the food was so bad that each and every member of my family walked away hungry not wanting any more food even though they were all starving. If I could guess I would say there's no way a restaurant could serve such tasteless and or just bad tasting food°° I was convinced they had made a mistake and added spices and herbs that was meant for another dish and not having anything to do with "Hawaiian' theme. With that I would say whole heartedly I would be surprised of anyone was to find any of there food acceptable to any taste bud or standards. Hope you don't take a chance and try to find out for yourself how bad this organization is because it's on the higher end of "fast-food" base pricing with plates starting around $11.50 and up with little meat to veggies ratios all around. Thank you

Food was good, but food takes forever here and the inside is so industrial and cold. Definitely take your food to go.

The food here is usually good and the portions are adequate, but the last visit was mediocre at best. The portion was not standard. Our order sat for 10 minutes before we were notified that it was ready; they were not busy. Many people are pet owners, I too have been, but I have never taken a non service animal to an eatery and had them near or on the counter.

So disappointed. Arrived at 7 pm and they were out of rice. It would be 25min if we wanted to wait. How short sighted does management have to be to not plan ahead and make more before they run out. Especially since they serve rice with every order.

35 years old, and out all my life, this by far has to be the most unprofessional establishment i've ever been to. They served me pink/uncooked chicken.when i went back to notify them they said "that's how it's supposed to, any more cooked it will burn. " then refused to make me a new plate or even TRY to rectify it. Instead I had to fight for a refund but only after I had to leave, go get my debit card and return. Mind you.this is the Manager i'm arguing with at this point. I've been there several times throughout the years, cuz damnit, when the food is good, the food is good.but the staff? Including Esmeralda.trash, throw em all away! Only after posting to social media did a gang of other people come forward to me about this establishment and they're too uncooked chicken.

It's a nice, quiet place. I'm not a big fan of a sweet meat, but sometimes why not. Portions are big, the place is not too crowded and the air conditioner is pretty chilly, so dress warm.
